🚧 Clearing Operations Update 🚧

Clearing operations were conducted by CDRRMO personnel, led by CDRRM Officer Raul A. Inocando, Jr., following the incident of a fallen banyan tree along the highway in the vicinity of Brgy. Manhilo. The incident caused a disruption in traffic at around 6:00 P.M. on May 31, 2026.

By 10:30 P.M., the road was partially cleared to allow the flow of traffic.

Clearing operations resumed again, early this morning and are still ongoing to ensure the full removal of debris and restoration of normal road conditions.

We advise motorists to remain cautious when passing through the area. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

🚧 Clearing Operations Update 🚧

Clearing operations were conducted by CDRRMO personnel, led by CDRRM Officer Raul A. Inocando, Jr., following the incident of a fallen banyan tree along the highway in the vicinity of Brgy. Manhilo.

Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over (Talibon, BienUnido, Duero), (CityOfMaasin, Macrohon, PadreBurgos, Liloan, Hinundayan, Hinunangan, SaintBernard), (Matalom, TaclobanCity), (Dumanjug, Barili) and (Pamplona) within the next 30 minutes to an hour.

The above conditions are being experienced in (Danao, Buenavista, SanMiguel, Trinidad, Inabanga, Jagna), (Malitbog, Anahawan, SanJuan), (SantaFe, Jaro, Alangalang, Palo, Babatngon, SanMiguel), (SantaCatalina, CityOfBayawan, CityOfTanjay, Bindoy, Manjuyod, Mabinay, BaisCity and Basay) which may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates.

🔥Grabe na pud ka init ang Maasin City karon! (43°C HEAT INDEX) ☀️

The heat index today has reached 43°C, which is considered dangerous.

Again, dili ta magkompyansa. This kind of heat can seriously affect your health.

We strongly advise everyone to:
✔️ Stay hydrated, inom ug daghang tubig.
✔️ Avoid direct sun exposure, especially from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM especially young children and senior citizens
