The 420th Supply Wing successfully concluded its 10-Day Warehouse Stand-Down from 04–13 May 2026, culminating in the pilot testing and implementation of the Supply Inventory Management System (SIMS) at Warehouse 3 Extension, Clark Air Base, Pampanga. Attended by members of the Air Force City Council of Commanders, invited guests, and Logistics and Supply Accountable Officers from various Philippine Air Force units, the activity marked another milestone in the modernization of PAF supply operations.
Conducted in collaboration with the Air Logistics Command (ALC), Office of the Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Logistics (OA-4), Office of the Air Force Internal Auditor (AFIA), and the Philippine Air Force Supply Accountable Office (PAFSAO), the stand-down focused on strengthening inventory accountability and warehouse management. Personnel conducted physical inventory validation, stock card updating, warehouse restructuring, and QR Code tagging of supply items organized through a zone, aisle, rack, and level system, helping correct discrepancies, improve warehouse organization, and establish a reliable baseline inventory for SIMS.
Developed by the 420th Supply Wing in partnership with the 950th Cyberspace and Electronic Warfare Wing, the Supply Inventory Management System (SIMS) introduced a QR Code-Based Inventory Management System designed to enhance inventory visibility, traceability, accountability, and operational efficiency. MAJ CESAR V HOLGADO PAF, Director, CEIS, notably assisted in the development of the system and personally presented the SIMS platform during the activity, highlighting its capabilities and significance in modernizing supply management operations. During the demonstration, personnel from the 421st Supply Management Group and 422nd Supply Operations Group showcased the actual issuance process of ICIE, from supplier delivery and warehouse recording up to the generation of tally-out documents from the distributing unit, all integrated within the SIMS platform for real-time digital tracking, monitoring, and streamlined inventory management.
Led by Wing Commander, BGEN RONNIE C CABINGAS PAF, and graced by Air Force Internal Auditor, BGEN AMADO V DELA PAZ PAF, as Guest Speaker, together with Deputy Commander, Air Logistics Command BGEN EDMON B GUPIT PAF as Special Guest, the activity highlighted the Wing’s commitment to accountability, innovation, and institutional excellence. As the first operational system of its kind within the Air Logistics Command and the 420th Supply Wing, SIMS represents a pioneering step in the digital transformation of Philippine Air Force supply operations, reinforcing the Providers’ commitment to delivering responsive, accountable, and mission-ready support for the PAF mission.
