Another remarkable milestone achieved!

The Air Force City Hospital proudly celebrates the successful completion of the Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course (ANCOC) Class 226 by two of its personnel, TSg John Jeffrey A Mingoy PAF and SSg Rosie S Ramos PAF, who graduated last 17 June 2026 at the PAF Non-Commissioned Officers School (PAFNCOS), AETC, Fernando Air Base, Lipa City, Batangas.

NIPAH VIRUS HEALTH ADVISORY | Virus-Free Air Force, Always Ready!

The Air Force City Hospital, through its Preventive Medicine and Safety Section, reminds everyone to stay vigilant against the Nipah Virus—a deadly disease transmitted from bats and pigs that can cause fever, brain infection, and even death. With a fatality rate ranging from 40–75%, awareness and prevention are our strongest defenses.

🔎 Key Facts:

-Natural host: infected fruit bats.
-Transmission: blood, urine, saliva, contaminated fruit/palm sap, pigs, and human-to-human contact.
-Symptoms: fever, headache, sore throat, vomiting, muscle ache, dizziness, confusion, seizures, encephalitis, and respiratory problems.

💡 What You Can Do:

-Avoid contact with bats, pigs, and contaminated food sources.
-Practice proper hygiene and food safety, wash and cook food thoroughly.
-Seek immediate medical attention if symptoms appear.

AFCH on Wellness Movement Program

The Air Force City Hospital, headed by LTC IRENE M ABUTAS MC(GSC), officially rolled out the Wellness Movement Program on 31 March 2026, the first initiative of its kind within the Philippine Air Force. Spearheaded by the Department of Health through the Central Luzon Center for Health Development, the program represents a significant milestone in advancing the overall well-being of healthcare workers.

The event gathered hospital staff to promote holistic well-being. It showed that wellness includes not just mental health, but also physical, emotional, and social health. A key part of the event was a talk by Mr. Jojie Maglaqui, who discussed managing stress, avoiding burnout, and building emotional strength.

Participants learned simple ways to stay healthy, such as practicing mindfulness, managing stress, and supporting one another. These encouraged balance in both work and personal life. The program also stressed the importance of good nutrition, with fresh fruits and vegetables given out to promote healthier habits.

The activity was extended to include more personnel in AFCH, increasing its reach and impact. It encourages healthcare workers to care for their own well-being while serving others, promoting a healthier and more resilient workforce.

Service, Care, and Readiness in Action

Today, the Philippine Air Force, in partnership with Hands for Vitality Community Health, successfully conducted a Chiropractic Mission at the Main Ballroom, Clark Air Base, Pampanga.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the facilitation of the Office of the Chief Surgeon and the Air Force City Hospital, ensuring smooth coordination and compassionate service for our airmen and the wider community.

Since 2012, Hands for Vitality has reached more than 15,000 patients nationwide, offering free chiropractic evaluations and treatments for back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint and muscle discomfort, sports injuries, and mobility challenges. Today’s mission continues that legacy—bringing relief, education, and hope to those in need.

With the support of dedicated chiropractors, volunteers, and coordinators, this activity reflects the Philippine Air Force’s enduring values of health, unity, and humanitarian service. Every adjustment performed today is a step toward stronger, healthier communities.

The Philippine Air Force convened its 4th Quarter Command Conference for CY-2025 from 27-28 October 2025 at PAF Headquarters, CJVAB, Pasay City, presided by LTGEN ARTHUR M CORDURA PAF, Commanding General, PAF.

The conference featured the awarding of Outstanding PAF Units for their exceptional performance in the 3rd Quarter 2025 PAF Units Recognition System (PAF-URS). With great pride and honor, the Air Force City Hospital is recognized as one of the awardees for the Best Performing Units of Squadrons/Hospital/Dispensaries category.

The Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital held its Basic Trauma Nursing Program last 17-28 November 2025 at JBLGH in San Fernando, Pampanga. In line with its commitment to delivering quality healthcare services, the Air Force City Hospital is proud to have its personnel, A2C Fidel Bandong PAF and Ms. Evita Roma Catadman CivHR, successfully completed the said program.

This program focuses on enhancing essential skills and knowledge required in taking care of patients who have sustained injuries from accidents, falls, violence, and/or other emergency situations. This enables our nurses to rapidly identify threats and accurately respond with such confidence.

AFCH is dedicated to helping its personnel enhance their knowledge and skills by supporting their participation in trainings and programs that promote quality healthcare service to its clients.
