CRIME PREVENTION IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY

In the observance of the 32nd Crime Prevention Week, the DILG Mabinay, under the esteemed leadership of its Department Head, LGOO VI Maricar Ollague, RN, the Municipality of Mabinay spearheaded an Information Campaign on various Laws with ALS Learners as its primary participants. This year's theme, "Strengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities", invites every citizen's participation in minimizing crimes.

This endeavor was a collaboration of the Law Enforcement Agencies operating under the umbrella of DILG who also served as subject-matter experts - PNP Mabinay Municipal Police Station and 704th Manuever Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion, BFP Mabinay Fire Station, and BJMP Mabinay Municipal Jail.

JINSP DOMINADOR P AMALLA III, Acting Jail Warden of this facility, shared insightful words to the participants, sharing his personal experiences in coping with various challenges on his way to wardenship. Also, JO2 Rosella R Caballero, CRSU Officer, discussed about RA 11930 Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act and Executive Order No. 70, s. 2018 National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.

Special thanks to the Municipal Administrator, Dr. Ieny A. Socorro for overseeing this activity as specially designed for our diligent learners. Thank you also to the very able ALS Mobile Teachers for facilitating these youngsters, contributing greatly to the success of this activity.

MMJ-SPONSORED MEALS FOR OUR CONTINGENTS FOR BUGLASAN FESTIVAL

Mabinay Municipal Jail, headed by the Acting Jail Warden, JINSP DOMINADOR P AMALLA III, sponsored the snacks and dinner of our contingents who will represent Mabinay in the Negros Oriental's Festival of Festivals, the Buglasan this coming October 2026. The group is comprised of High School and College Students in the Municipality of Mabinay.

Also, the team was able to share these sumptuous meals to some of the residents living nearby.

DAGHANG SALAMAT, UCCP CNAC AND UCCP ABIS!

Mabinay Municipal Jail, under the command of JINSP DOMINADOR P AMALLA III, would like to extend its huge thanks to the leaders, members and staffs of United Church of Christ of the Philippine (UCCP)- CNAC together with UCCP- Abis for their compassion and support to the jail ministry. The benevolent group was able to share hygiene packs and food to all our PDL and personnel.

Lingguhang Programa sa Pagpapanumbalik ng mga Pagpapahalaga

Maraming mga pangyayari at desisyon ang nasisira dahil lamang sa biglaan at bugso ng emosyon. Dahil rito, nararapat lang na matutunan natin na kontrolin ang ating emosyon at huwag ito hayaang pangunahan ang ating mga pagpapasya.

Sa ating lingguhang pagtatalakay sa Pagpapanumbalik ng mga Pagpapahalaga, inihayag ni SJO1 Raygen A Villapana, "Matuto tayong kontrolin ang ating emosyon - at hindi ang emosyon ang siyang magdidikta sa ating mga desisyon. Kapag kalma ang ating damdamin, mas malinaw ang ating pag-iisip".

PAGTALAKAY SA GUN SAFETY RULES PARA SA MGA FUTURE LAW-ENFORCERS

Pinangunahan ng ating kasamahan, SJO2 Joefel F Sinag, Operations In-Charge ng yunit na ito, ang pagtalakay sa napapanahong paksa, ang Gun Safety Rules.

Matatandaang sunod-sunod ang mga pangyayari na may kinalaman sa mga kabataang gumamit ng armas sa loob ng mga paaralan at siya ring nagdulot ng karahasan at takot sa marami.

Layunin ng talakayang ito ang maibahagi sa ating mga mag-aaral ang wasto, responsable at tamang paghawak at paggamit ng mga armas, lalo na ang mga government-issued fi****ms. Malaking bahagi ng kanilang OJT sa pasilidad na ito ang magkaroon ng kasanayan at malalim na pag-intindi sa mga programa at layunin ng ating ahensya, ang BJMP.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni JINSP DOMINADOR P AMALLA III, ang MMJ ay patuloy na makikipagtulungan sa mga institusyon upang mabigyang kahalagahan ang public safety at order.
