In response to continuous heavy rainfall and unfavorable weather conditions, De Guzman Integrated School implemented the HINAY (Ease-In) Protocol to safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of all learners, teachers, and school personnel.

As part of this initiative, classes temporarily shifted to the Distance Learning Modality (DLM), ensuring that learning continues while everyone remains safe at home.

De Guzman Integrated School implements Learning Continuity Level: HINAY through the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM), ensuring that education remains safe, flexible, accessible, and learner-centered despite the inclement weather.

Under HINAY, teachers provide short, simple, and meaningful learning activities using available platforms and resources such as Messenger, group chats, digital materials, printed modules, and other appropriate learning resources.

Various modalities including online, synchronous, asynchronous, and modular distance learning are utilized based on the learners’ individual needs, abilities, situations, and available resources.

This measure supports the safety and well-being of our learners while ensuring learning continuity amid the effects of the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

The Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) and Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Officers of De Guzman Integrated School successfully conducted the Student-Led School Watching and Hazard Mapping Activity, demonstrating their commitment to promoting disaster preparedness, school safety, and environmental awareness.

Guided by their dedicated advisers, Ma'am Cherry Manaois and Ma'am Rachelle Rosario, the student leaders carefully assessed different areas of the school campus, identified potential hazards, and mapped locations that require attention to help ensure a safe and learner-friendly environment for everyone.

This meaningful initiative highlights the vital role of student leadership in fostering a culture of vigilance, responsibility, and preparedness. Despite the rainy weather, the PTA General Assembly of De Guzman Integrated School was successfully held with the active participation of our parents and guardians. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended and showed their support despite the rain.

One of the highlights of the program was the Induction of the Homeroom PTA Officers and the School PTA Officers, marking the beginning of their commitment to serve and strengthen the partnership between the school and the community.

Our School Head, Dr. Shirley Dizon, discussed the importance of maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, reminding everyone of the school's strict policy against bringing weapons or any harmful objects to school.

Ma'am Cherry Manaois, School PTA Coordinator, together with PTA Pres. Rona Araneta, presented the upcoming PTA projects and initiatives that aim to benefit our learners and further improve our school.

Thank you to all our parents, guardians, teachers, and newly inducted officers for your time, trust, and dedication. Your presence and support, even in the midst of the rainy weather, truly reflect our shared commitment to the success, safety, and well-being of every learner.
