FLAG RAISING CEREMONY | MUNICIPAL TREASURY OFFICE

The Local Government Unit of MacArthur, Leyte conducted today’s Flag Raising Ceremony, hosted by the Municipal Treasury Office, headed by Municipal Treasurer Atty. Jacqueline S. Jacobe.

📌 Highlights of the Program:

The Municipal Treasurer shared important updates from her office, particularly on Revenue Collection and Funds Disbursement, emphasizing the continuing efforts of the Municipal Treasury Office toward efficient, transparent, and accountable financial management.

💻 The office also provided an update on the implementation of the new electronic Business Permits and Licensing System (eBPLS), including the upcoming launching of the eLGU BPLS on September 25, 2026, marking another step toward a more efficient, accessible, and technology-driven delivery of government services.

📋 Meanwhile, Ms. Sandy Ivy Rose V. Libanan, the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) provided an update on the upcoming Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) assessment, reminding all department heads, offices, personnel, and concerned stakeholders of the importance of full cooperation, timely compliance, and submission of the necessary requirements to ensure the municipality’s preparedness for the assessment.

🎤 Closing the ceremony, Hon. SB Member Victoriano T. Lazar shared the recent accomplishments of the Sangguniang Bayan, emphasizing the importance of good governance and continued commitment in serving the people of MacArthur.

The LGU MacArthur continues to strengthen its systems, embrace innovation, and work together as one organization toward effective governance, accountable public service, and excellence in local administration.
