Named after Teodora Alonso, the mother of Josรฉ Rizal and known for nurturing a love for learning and literature, Gawad Teodora Alonso is a national recognition that honors outstanding Filipino writers, illustrators, and creators of childrenโs and youth literature. The award celebrates stories and artworks that inspire young Filipinos and strengthen the countryโs literary culture.
