𝟏𝟕𝐈𝐁, 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐂𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐈𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝟒𝟎𝟎 𝐈𝐏 𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍

𝘾𝘼𝙈𝙋 𝙈𝙀𝙇𝘾𝙃𝙊𝙍 𝙁 𝘿𝙀𝙇𝘼 𝘾𝙍𝙐𝙕, 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙪, 𝙄𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙖 – About 400 residents of an Indigenous community in Gattaran, Cagayan, received food packs, rice and hygiene kits, while 100 students were given school bags and supplies during an outreach program led by the 17th Infantry “Do or Die” Battalion and the provincial government on October 14.

The activity, held in Sitio Padungsol, Barangay Naddungan, also offered free haircuts as part of the province’s observance of Indigenous Peoples Month.

The provincial government, led by Governor Edgar “Egay” Aglipay, provided support for the distribution of essential goods and school supplies, which organizers said was part of ongoing efforts to bring basic services to Indigenous communities. Among those who attended were Ismael Tumaru, the governor’s Indigenous Peoples consultant and representative; Gattaran Vice Mayor Princess Joy Sison-Morato; Police Colonel Mardito Anguluan, Cagayan police provincial director; and representatives of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples and local barangay officials.
The outreach program was conducted through the coordination of the 17IB, the provincial government, the Gattaran municipal government and other government agencies under the province’s “No Household Left Behind” initiative.

The program aimed to address some of the immediate needs of residents, particularly families requiring basic supplies and students who need school materials to support their education. The Army and its partner agencies said they would continue working with local communities to improve access to essential services and strengthen cooperation with Indigenous peoples across Cagayan.

LAL-LO, Cagayan – Nagsagawa ang 17th Infantry “Do or Die” Battalion (17IB), katuwang ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Cagayan, ng IP Community Outreach Program sa Sitio Padungsol, Barangay Naddungan, Gattaran, Cagayan, noong Oktubre 14, 2026, bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng Indigenous Peoples (IP) Month.

Sa aktibidad, humigit-kumulang 400 benepisyaryo ang nakatanggap ng food packs, hygiene kits, at bigas, habang 100 mag-aaral ang nabigyan ng mga bag at school supplies. Ang mga ito ay naipagkaloob sa pamamagitan ng suporta ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Cagayan sa pamumuno ni Governor Edgar “Egay” Aglipay. Nagkaroon din ng libreng pagpapagupit para sa mga residente.

Dumalo sa aktibidad si Mr. Ismael Tumaru, IP Consultant at kinatawan ni Governor Aglipay; Gattaran Municipal Vice Mayor Princess Joy Sison-Morato; Police Colonel Mardito Anguluan, Cagayan Police Provincial Director; gayundin ang mga kinatawan ng National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), at mga opisyal ng barangay.

Ang aktibidad ay bahagi ng patuloy na pagtutulungan ng 17IB, Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Cagayan, lokal na pamahalaan ng Gattaran, at iba pang ahensiya upang maihatid ang mga pangunahing serbisyo sa mga katutubong pamayanan, alinsunod sa programang “No Household Left Behind” ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga ganitong aktibidad, patuloy na sinusuportahan ng 17IB at mga katuwang na ahensiya ang kapakanan ng mga katutubong mamamayan at ang pagpapalakas ng ugnayan sa mga komunidad sa lalawigan ng Cagayan.

𝗟𝗔𝗟-𝗟𝗢, 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 - In celebration of its 54th Founding Anniversary, the 17th Infantry “Do or Die” Battalion successfully held its Sportsfest at H17IB, Barangay Bangag, Lal-lo, Cagayan, bringing together officers and enlisted personnel in friendly competitions that strengthened teamwork, sportsmanship and unity.

The Sportsfest featured various competitions that brought excitement to the celebration, while each company proudly showcased its battle cries and yells, expressing company pride, unity, and fighting spirit.

As the Battalion celebrates 54 years of service, the Sportsfest served as a reminder that the greatest strength lies in the men and women who stand together in fulfilling its mission.

𝗟𝗔𝗟-𝗟𝗢 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 - Ipinamalas ng 17th Infantry “Do or Die” Battalion, 5th Infantry “Star” Division, Philippine Army, ang kahusayan at pakikipagkaisa sa pakikilahok sa isinagawang 6th Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region 2 Quiz Bee na ginanap sa PSA Regional Office 2, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

Kinatawan ng 17IB si 𝟮𝗟𝘁. 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗝. 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘀, na nakipagtagisan ng kaalaman kasama ang 21 iba pang kalahok mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan at mga stakeholder sa lalawigan.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang kaalaman at husay, nakamit ni 2Lt. Palapas ang ikatlong pwesto sa 22 na kalahok, na nagbigay karangalan sa 17IB at nagpakita ng kakayahan, dedikasyon, at kahusayan sa mga kasundahan.

Isinagawa ang Quiz Bee bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang ng 37th National Statistics Month, na naglalayong palawakin ang kamalayan at pagpapahalaga sa kahalagahan ng estadistika, gayundin ang kaalaman sa mga mandato ng PSA at mga kinakailangan sa civil registration, at hikayatin ang suporta ng mga ahensya ng pamahalaan sa mga gawaing pang-estadistika.

Ang pakikilahok ng mga tauhan ng 17IB ay nagpapakita ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng Battalion na palakasin ang ugnayan at pakikipagtulungan sa mga ahensya ng pamahalaan at iba pang stakeholder, habang sinusuportahan ang mga gawaing nagtataguyod ng kaalaman, kahusayan, at makabuluhang paglilingkod sa publiko.

𝗟𝗔𝗟-𝗟𝗢, 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 – Bilang pagkilala sa kanilang tapat na serbisyo, sakripisyo, at patuloy na pagtupad sa tungkulin, matagumpay na isinagawa ng 17th Infantry (Do or Die) Battalion ang patatapos ng 2nd Annual CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) Day, tatlong araw na pagdiriwang na puno ng pagkilala, pagkakaisa, at inspirasyon.

Kinatawan ni Mr. Renz G. Costales, Administrative Officer II, mula sa tanggapan ni Vice Mayor Maria Olivia Pascual ng Lal-lo, na nagpahayag ng pagkilala sa mahalagang papel ng mga CAAs sa bawat komunidad. Binigyang-halaga niya ang kanilang patuloy na pagtupad sa tungkulin at pagiging katuwang ng kasundaluhan sa pagpapanatili ng kaayusan at seguridad sa mga lugar na kanilang pinaglilingkuran.

Bilang bahagi rin ng matagumpay na pagdiriwang, nagpaabot ang 17IB ng taos-pusong pasasalamat sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at ng Task Force Lingkod Cagayan - Quick Response Team ng Lal-lo sa kanilang suporta at pakikiisa. Ang kanilang presensya at ambag ay nagpapakita na ang isang ligtas at matatag na komunidad ay hindi nabubuo sa iisang organisasyon lamang, kundi sa sama-samang pagkilos ng mga institusyong may iisang hangaring makatulong sa mamamayan.

Sa pagtatapos ng aktibidad, hindi lamang ang mga parangal at alaala ng pagdiriwang ang bitbit ng mga CAAs, kundi ang isang mahalagang mensahe na ang bawat serbisyo, gaano man ito kaliit, ay may ambag sa mas malaking layunin. Sa kanilang patuloy na paglilingkod bilang katuwang ng kasundaluhan, ang kanilang presensya ay nananatiling mahalagang bahagi ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan para sa kapakanan ng mga komunidad.

502Bde Receives PCP-UNEL Presidential Award for Humanitarian Service

LOOK | The 502nd Infantry “Liberator” Brigade, under the leadership of BGEN RHODERICK L PARALLAG PA, Commander, was conferred the Presidential Award by the Philippine College of Physicians – Upper North Eastern Luzon (PCP-UNEL) on 27 September 2026 for its sustained commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation and its meaningful contribution to saving lives.

The Brigade and the 17th Infantry “Do or Die” Battalion (17IB) were recognized during the PCP-UNEL General Assembly held at GO Hotel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, for their sustained support of voluntary blood donation initiatives and their commitment to fostering a culture of selfless service. Through the active participation of their personnel, both units continue to contribute to the provision of vital assistance to patients and communities in need.

The recognition reflects the 502Bde’s commitment to humanitarian service and community partnership. Guided by the principle of “No One is Left Behind,” the Brigade remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that promote public welfare and serve the Filipino people beyond the battlefield.

𝗟𝗔𝗟-𝗟𝗢, 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 - A proud journey from being a HERO Foundation scholar to serving in the Philippine Army took center stage as 2Lt. Franz Janille A. Silvela PA, currently assigned to the 17th Infantry (Do or Die) Battalion, joined the HERO Foundation Incorporated delegation during courtesy visit to the AFP Chief of Staff, Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete on September 22, 2026.

2Lt. Silvela, a former HERO scholar from Grade 8 through her graduation in 2018, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, stands as one of the successful beneficiaries of the Foundation’s continuing commitment to provide educational assistance to the children of military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice. 2Lt. Silvela also had the opportunity to present the products of the former rebels (FRs) from Cagayan to Gen. Nafarrete, personally bringing a handwoven basket containing their products as a token.

From being a HERO scholar to an AFP Officer, her journey reflects how education and opportunity can translate into service, while the products from the FRs of Cagayan demonstrate how peace can open doors to productive and sustainable communities.
