101st Infantry Brigade Deploys 28th Infantry Battalion for Bangsamoro Parliamentary-Election Duty.

MALABANG, LANAO DEL SUR (August 25, 2026) – Brigadier General Yasser R. Bara, Commander of the 101Bde, 1ID, PA, presided over the send-off ceremony for the 28IB, 64IB, 51IB, and PNP at the Brigade Headquarters in Malabang, Lanao del Sur for the 1st Bangsamoro Election.

The 28IB, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Elben M. Naval, has been officially deployed to perform election security duties in support of maintaining peaceful, orderly and credible election process across the area of operations.

During the ceremony, BGen. Bara emphasized the military’s strict adherence to non-partisanship, professionalism, and dedication to safeguarding the democratic rights of the public.

28IB COMMEMORATES 77TH INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW WITH FLAG-RAISING AND PLEDGE OF COMMITMENT

MAGPET, COTABATO (August 3, 2026) – in observance of the 77th International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Commemoration, personnel of 28th Infantry (KAMAGONG) Battalion participated in a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony followed by the mass recitation of the Soldier’s Pledge to IHL.

During the Ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Elben M. Naval, Commanding Officer of 28IB, read the official message of the Commanding General, Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Donald M. Gumiran, emphasizing the leadership’s commitment to the theme: “Pinalakas na Ugnayan at Pagkakaisa sa Pagsulong ng IHL”

The 28th Infantry Battalion remains steadfast in its mandate to maintain peace and security across its area of operations while upholding the highest standards of professional military conduct.

IN PHOTOS || JOINT BECP CLOSING AND SEND-OFF CEREMONY

The 28th Infantry (KAMAGONG) Battalion successfully concluded the Battalion Evaluation and Certification Program (BECP), earning an overall satisfactory rating and certified the battalion as “Trained”. The result reflects the battalion’s continued commitment to maintaining mission readiness, discipline, and operational capability in accomplishing its mandated tasks under the leadership of LTC ELBEN M NAVAL INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 28th Infantry (KAMAGONG) Battalion.

The ceremony was graced by MAJ GENERAL ALVIN V LUZON PA, Commander, 10th Infantry (AGILA) Division, who served as the Keynote Speaker. In his message, he commended the battalion for its performance during the BECP and encouraged the Kamagong Troopers to sustain their professionalism, discipline, and operational excellence as they continue to fulfill their mandate.

Immediately after the closing ceremony, the battalion conducted a Send-Off Ceremony for troops deploying in support of the BARMM Parliamentary Elections. The personnel were reminded to remain non-partisan and faithfully perform their election security duties in coordination with other government security forces to help ensure the peaceful, orderly, and credible conduct of the elections.
