The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) โ Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) Cotabato Province, in collaboration with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)โCotabato Provincial Office and Negosyo Center Kabacan, conducted Digital Solutions for Efficient Inventory and Sales Reporting training for the Dagupan Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (DARBMPC) on June 25, 2026, at the Negosyo Center Kabacan Office, Kabacan, Cotabato.
The activity aimed to strengthen the digital capabilities of the cooperative by introducing practical and affordable business automation tools that enhance day-to-day operations. Participated in by the members and officers of DARBMPC, the training focused on improving inventory management, sales monitoring, and business reporting through the use of user-friendly digital technologies.
Specifically, the activity sought to enhance participants' capacity to utilize digital tools for inventory and sales management, improve the accuracy and efficiency of business reporting, and encourage the adoption of simple automation systems that support informed decision-making and operational sustainability.
A major highlight of the training was the hands-on installation and orientation on the Peddlr App, a Philippine-developed mobile point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management application designed for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Participants learned how to record sales, monitor inventory levels, track expenses, generate business reports, and manage transactions using only their smartphones. The application also offers offline functionality for many of its features, making it especially suitable for small enterprises operating in areas with limited internet connectivity.
Through the workshop, members and officers of DARBMPC successfully installed and explored the features of the Peddlr App, equipping them with a practical digital solution for efficiently managing their inventory and sales records. The adoption of the application is expected to reduce manual recording errors, improve the organization of business data, and support better business decisions through accurate and timely reporting.
The initiative reflects DTI-CARP Cotabato's continuing commitment to promoting digital transformation and strengthening the competitiveness of Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs). By introducing accessible and innovative digital solutions, DTI empowers agrarian reform beneficiaries to improve operational efficiency, enhance business performance, and build more resilient and sustainable enterprises that contribute to inclusive rural economic development. -end-
