Open burning is strictly prohibited under Republic Act 9514 (the Fire Code), RA 9003 (Solid Waste Management Act), and RA 8749 (the Clean Air Act).

Burning leaves, trash, or other solid waste creates severe fire risks, generates harmful smoke, and increases air pollution that threatens public health.

Let's prioritize safety and air quality in our community. Avoid open burning and report violations to the Magsaysay Fire Station.

Safe School Initiative (SSI) | Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) 2026

On August 19, 2026, the Magsaysay Fire Station, headed by 𝑭𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑪𝑳𝑬𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻 𝑨 𝑻𝑨𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑬𝑺, Municipal Fire Marshal, under the guidance of 𝑭𝑺𝑼𝑷𝑻 𝑹𝑶𝑬𝑳 𝑮 𝑩𝑨𝑪𝑨𝑺𝑵𝑶𝑻, Provincial Fire Marshal, OPFM–Misamis Oriental, and under the direct supervision of 𝙁𝙎𝙎𝙐𝙋𝙏 𝙍𝙄𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙍𝘿 𝙑 𝘼𝙍𝘽𝙐𝙏𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙀, 𝘿𝙎𝘾, Acting Regional Director, BFP Region 10, together with the dedicated personnel of the station, conducted a Public Fire Education (PFE) activity at Damayuhan National High School, Barangay Damayuhan, Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental. The activity formed part of the Safe School Initiative (SSI) under Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP), aimed at strengthening the fire safety awareness and preparedeness of students, teachers, and school personnel.

Through meaningful discussions and practical fire safety reminders, participants were oriented on fire prevention, common causes of fire, proper response during emergencies, evacuation procedures, and the importance of maintaining a safe school environment. The Magsaysay Fire Station remains committed to bringing fire safety education closer to our schools and communities—because fire prevention starts with awareness, preparedness, and collective responsibility.
