Mahaplag, Leyte – September 04, 2026 — In line with the Bureau of Fire Protection’s Seven-Day Mode of Activities, personnel of the BFP Mahaplag Fire Station, under the supervision of SFO3 Glenn Antonio M Solis, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted a Refresher Course on Drills and Ceremonies and BFP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What is a Backdraft?
A backdraft occurs when a fire in an enclosed space has consumed most of the available oxygen. When fresh air suddenly enters (such as when a door or window is opened), the hot gases can ignite explosively.
