The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening barangay governance, promoting peace and order, enhancing community safety, and fostering collaboration among barangay officials and stakeholders.

In the presentation of Foreign Travel Authority through MC No. 2026-017 conducted last October 8, 2026, MLGOO Gedion L. Egos explained that:

1. The approval of foreign travel requests of local government officials and employees following a Malacaรฑang directive authorizing the DILG Secretary to further delegate such authority.

2. Administrative Order No. 47, s. 2026 authorizes the DILG Secretary to further delegate the approval of foreign travel requests of local officials and employees. Previously, the authority delegated by the President rested with the DILG Secretary.

3. Under DILG Circular No. 2026-017, the Secretary remains the approving authority for all official and unofficial foreign travel of Provincial Governors, Highly Urbanized City and Independent Component City (HUC/ICC) Mayors, and the Municipal Mayor of Pateros.

MLGOO Gedion L. Egos presented the primary and secondary issues confronting the three Barangays of Mahaplag namely: Barangay San Juan, Barangay Mabunga and Barangay San Isidro on September 22, 2026 Town Hall Meeting. Common to the three barangays are the issues on Farm to Market Road and Water System. These issues shall be addressed by the LGU with the aid of the national government through the RCSP and SBDP in 2027. Issue like Construction of Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall will be addressed by LGU Mahaplag and some of the needs of the barangay will be answered through the Barangay's owned fund - the Barangay Development Fund.
