𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 | 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗥 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) Training 2026 was successfully concluded by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Mahayag under the leadership of Engr. Romeo C. Soria. The training brought together MDRRMO personnel, Barangay Responders, BJMP personnel, and representatives from various LGU offices and partner agencies to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response capabilities.

The MDRRMO extends its heartfelt gratitude to Municipal Mayor Hon. Manuel T. Salagada and MDRRMO Committee Chairman, SB Member Hon. Elmer C. Perez, for their continued support and commitment to the success of this training program.

Special recognition is likewise given to the BFP-SRF IX trainers for their dedication, professionalism, and invaluable sharing of knowledge and expertise throughout the training. Appreciation is also extended to Bravo Company, 53rd Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, led by 1LT Alvin III L. Royo (INF), PA, for providing security support and ensuring the safety of all participants.

As the training concludes, the knowledge, skills, and camaraderie gained will serve as a strong foundation for more effective, coordinated, and responsive public service in times of emergencies and disasters.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟰 | 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗥 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗧𝗫

Day 4 of our Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) Training was dedicated to the Field Training Exercise (FTX) held at Awasan, Brgy. Tuboran, Mahayag Zamboanga del Sur. This challenging activity allowed participants to apply their knowledge and skills in a realistic rescue scenario, testing both individual capabilities and team coordination.

The exercise concluded at 4:00 AM, marking the end of a long yet rewarding operation. Despite the physical and mental demands, the experience was truly priceless. Beyond the skills acquired, the camaraderie, teamwork, and friendships built throughout the training made the journey even more meaningful.

An unforgettable experience that strengthened not only our capabilities as responders but also the bonds we formed along the way.

From lessons to action! Today was all about actual hands-on training, testing our skills, teamwork, and endurance in the field. The excitement is building as we gear up for tomorrow’s FTX (Field Training Exercise) where everything we’ve learned will be put to the test! 💪🏻✨

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮 | 𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘 (𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗥) 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚

Day 2 focused on evaluating and reinforcing the lessons discussed during Day 1, including Emergency Rescue Transfer, Ropemanship, and Victim Packaging. Participants demonstrated their understanding and practical skills through hands-on exercises and assessments.

The training also covered the Anchor System and Mechanical Advantage System, equipping participants with essential knowledge and techniques for safe and effective mountain search and rescue operations.

As we conclude another productive day of learning, participants are now preparing for the next phase of the training. Tomorrow, the team will proceed to the mountain area to execute and apply the knowledge and skills learned during the previous sessions in a realistic field environment.

Through continuous learning, teamwork, and practical application, our responders are strengthening their competence and readiness to save lives in challenging situations.

The Day 1 Opening Program of the Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) Training was successfully conducted at the MDRRMO Operations Center, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur, under the leadership of MDRRMO Head, Engr. Romeo C. Soria.

This training is facilitated by the BFP Special Rescue Force Region IX (BFP-SRF IX) and is made possible through the unwavering support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Manuel T. Salagada, and MDRRMO Committee Chairman, SB Member Elmer C. Perez.

Participants of the training include MDRRMO Personnel, BJMP Personnel, and Barangay Responders who have committed themselves to enhancing their skills and capabilities in mountain search and rescue operations.

This activity marks the beginning of a week-long journey of learning, teamwork, and preparedness, aimed at strengthening our community’s emergency response capabilities and ensuring that lives are protected in times of need.
