October 10, 2026- The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝐉𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐉𝐑, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐄, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and under the leadership of 𝐉𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐔𝐍 𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐀, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, joins the observance of World Mental Health Day 2026, highlighting the importance of mental well-being, compassion, and understanding.

We recognize that mental health is an essential part of holistic rehabilitation. Through humane care, emotional support, and meaningful interventions, we remain committed to promoting the well-being and dignity of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

October 08, 2026 — The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝗝𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗢 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗝𝗥, 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗘, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of 𝗝𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗝𝗨𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗔, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, facilitated the assistance of the MSWDO in the distribution of a ₱6,000 one-time social pension to a qualified senior citizen PDL in celebration of Elderly Filipino Week 2026.

Other qualified senior citizen PDL were likewise assisted and endorsed for the same government support, reinforcing the Jail’s commitment to promoting their dignity, welfare, and well-being through compassionate and inclusive care.

October 08, 2026 — The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝗝𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗢 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗝𝗥, 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗘, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of 𝗝𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗝𝗨𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗔, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, together with the team, paid a courtesy call to 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗖. 𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴, Barangay Captain of Lower Salug Daku, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

The courtesy call served as an opportunity to strengthen rapport and foster a positive working relationship between the Jail and the Barangay Government, particularly in supporting programs and activities that promote the welfare, development, and rehabilitation of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The unit likewise expressed its commitment to support and participate in appropriate barangay activities, emphasizing mutual cooperation, shared responsibility, and strong stakeholder partnership in line with the CRS Month Celebration.

October 07, 2026 — The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝗝𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗢 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗝𝗥, 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗘, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of 𝗝𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗝𝗨𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗔, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, facilitated Senior High School classes for nine (9) PDL.

𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗮 of Pagadian Montessori Center conducted the General Science term examination, providing PDL with opportunities to learn, grow, and prepare for successful reintegration into the community.

October 07, 2026 — The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝗝𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗢 𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗣𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗝𝗥, 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗘, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and the leadership of 𝗝𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗝𝗨𝗡 𝗖 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗔, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, facilitated the assistance provided by the MSWDO in the distribution of a ₱6,000 one-time social pension payout to one senior citizen PDL in celebration of Elderly Filipino Week 2026.

October 6, 2026- In celebration of Elderly Filipino Week, the Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝐉𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐉𝐑, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐄, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and under the leadership of 𝐉𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐔𝐍 𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐀, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, conducted a health activity for elderly Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Led by JO1 Almira Arriane A Angcon, RN, Unit Jail Nurse, with the assistance of JO1 Ron David T Lobiano, Roving Custodial Officer, the activity included health teaching on common illnesses among the elderly, blood pressure monitoring, and distribution of vitamins.

Because caring for our elderly PDL means protecting their health, preserving their dignity, and ensuring that no one is left behind.

October 6, 2026 - The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝐉𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐉𝐑, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐄, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and under the leadership of 𝐉𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐔𝐍 𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐀, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, participated in the 4th MPOC/MADAC Quarterly Meeting of the Municipality of Josefina, led by Hon. Alberto M. Etulle, Municipal Mayor.

The meeting provided an avenue for government agencies and local offices to share updates, accomplishments, and priority plans, including the POPS Annual Implementation Plan for 2027.

SJO3 Bartolome C Flores also presented the jail’s 3rd Quarter CY 2026 accomplishments, highlighting PDL welfare and rehabilitation, facility improvements, personnel development, and current jail operations.

Through collaboration and shared responsibility, we strengthen peace, security, and responsive public service.

October 6, 2026 - The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝐉𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐉𝐑, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐄, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and under the leadership of 𝐉𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐔𝐍 𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐀, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, received essential kitchen supplies from the LGU of Josefina through its POPS Plan CY 2026, including an LPG tank, heavy-duty burner, lunch boxes, and rice cookers.

The assistance strengthens the facility’s food preparation, cooking, meal distribution, and sanitation operations, helping ensure that Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) are provided with adequate and properly prepared meals.

A meaningful partnership that turns support into better care and humane service for PDL.

The BJMP Regional Office IX awarded Certificates of Appreciation and Recognition to Hon. Alberto M. Etulle, Municipal Mayor of Josefina, and the LGU of Josefina for their continued support and partnership in advancing the welfare, development, and rehabilitation of PDL.

Together, through strong partnerships and shared commitment, we build a more humane, responsive, and rehabilitative jail service.

October 6, 2026 - The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the supervision of 𝐉𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍, 𝐉𝐑, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐄, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, and under the leadership of 𝐉𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐉𝐔𝐍 𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐀, Acting Municipal Jail Warden, facilitated Alternative Learning System (ALS) classes for four (4) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), led by JO1 Blessed Joy Roque, ALS Implementer, with security provided by JO1 Halcon, Roving Officer.

With learning sessions conducted by Mr. Leonardo Camiguing, ALS Instructor, through ALS modules and supplementary materials, education continues to provide PDL with opportunities to learn, grow, rebuild discipline, and prepare for a better future.

Because every learner deserves a second chance—and every second chance can begin with education.
