The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, conducted a macrame making training for fifteen (15) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL). The training was conducted by Ms. Shelyn Bigwas as the resource person.

The PDL were introduced to basic materials, tools, and knotting techniques in macramé making.
This activity enhances creativity, productivity, and self-confidence while supporting rehabilitation and reintegration through skills development.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, a praise and worship activity was conducted to provide spiritual guidance to all Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The activity was facilitated by Pastor William Kepti and company, with active participation from all PDL and security assistance provided by JO1 Randolph E Elcarte.

This initiative supports the unit’s commitment to holistic rehabilitation by strengthening the spiritual well-being of PDL.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, successfully conducted the “ABaKaDa” Program for Ryle S. Barcinal, with the assistance of JSINSP JESSIE V FANILAG, Assistant Warden, and JO2 Ivy M Pomicpic, CRS Officer.

The program, “𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐚: 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐠𝐨 𝐧𝐢 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐮𝐠 𝐃𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠,” reflects the unit’s commitment to supporting education and inspiring young learners to pursue their dreams. Educational supplies and grocery items were provided to help the beneficiary in his studies and daily needs.

Through this meaningful initiative, this unit continues to strengthen community partnership and promote hope, care, and positive change.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, welcomed a representative from the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Molave to conduct free legal consultations for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

With the assistance of Unit Paralegal Officer JO2 Josephous Arsenal, the activity focused on addressing legal concerns, providing court hearing updates and legal assistance, preparing documents, and assessing qualified PDL for possible early release.

JCSUPT AMADO A CONCEPCION JR, CESE, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau, conducted a surprise inspection and Talk to Troops at Mahayag Municipal Jail under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Jail Warden.

During the activity, the Regional Director personally engaged with personnel and provided valuable guidance on discipline, professionalism, and operational readiness in the performance of jail duties. He also emphasized the importance of being Objective, one of the Bureau’s “3 Os,” encouraging personnel to exercise sound judgment, fairness, and rational decision-making in carrying out their responsibilities.

Furthermore, he highlighted the value of humility, teamwork, and unity, reminding personnel that cooperation and mutual respect are vital in maintaining discipline, accomplishing organizational goals, and delivering quality public service.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, JO1 Dave Lubon of the Regional Logistics Office, assisted by JO1 King Henry I M Florentino, Logistic Officer, conducted a rooftop inspection to identify sources of leaks and assess structural wear and tear.

Several damaged sections and active water seepage areas were documented to support the urgent request for a complete reproofing project, ensuring the safety of jail personnel, PDL, and government property.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, welcomed the visiting regional inspection team headed by JCINSP EDGAR T WANAWAN, Regional Accountant, together with NUP Mildred A Manjuyod, RSAO, and representatives from the Commission on Audit (COA).

A thorough physical inventory, count, and serial number verification were conducted on all facility properties, including office equipment, ammunition supplies, and organic fi****ms (FA).

This activity ensured that all physical assets are properly accounted for and that records are accurately aligned with the official regional accounting ledgers, reinforcing transparency, accountability, and proper property management within the facility.

June 2, 2026 | Personnel Information and Education (PI&E)

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, facilitated the conduct of a Personnel Information and Education (PI&E) session with his unit personnel.

The activity focused on the status of pending tasks from previous PI&E sessions and directives, updates on various Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs), as well as the dissemination of important reminders, guidance, and directives. Other operational and administrative matters were also discussed to ensure proper coordination and effective implementation of the unit’s plans and activities.
