Nakarekober ang pulis at militar ng mga armas, bala, at granada sa isang dating NPA hideout sa Gattaran, Cagayan noong Hulyo 2.

Ayon sa impormasyon mula sa isang dating rebelde, nakatago ang mga ito sa bulubunduking bahagi ng Barangay Mabuno. Narekober ang dalawang revolver, shotgun, rifle grenades, at blasting caps.

Ayon PNP Chief Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., hindi hahayaang magamit muli ang mga nakatagong armas sa paghahasik ng karahasan.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, conducted a Personnel Information and Education (PI&E) session with unit personnel to strengthen communication, enhance coordination, and ensure the effective implementation of operational and administrative directives.

The session included updates on the status of pending tasks and directives from previous PI&E meetings, discussions on ongoing and upcoming Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs), and the dissemination of important reminders, policies, and guidance. Other operational and administrative concerns were likewise addressed to promote accountability, improve coordination, and ensure the efficient delivery of public service.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of 𝑱𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑲 𝑰𝑨𝑵 𝑪 𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑪𝑰𝑫𝑶, Municipal Warden, conducted a ranks inspection of its personnel to assess their operational readiness, discipline, proper grooming, and overall bearing.

The activity served to ensure that all personnel remain prepared to effectively perform their duties and responsibilities while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and excellence in public service expected of BJMP personnel.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of 𝑱𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑷 𝑴𝑨𝑹𝑲 𝑰𝑨𝑵 𝑪 𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑪𝑰𝑫𝑶, Municipal Jail Warden, together with seven (7) personnel of this unit, participated in the Weekly Flag Raising Ceremony at the Mahayag Municipal Hall. Simultaneously, five (5) personnel led by 𝙅𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙅𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙀 𝙑 𝙁𝘼𝙉𝙄𝙇𝘼𝙂, Assistant Warden, also joined the ceremony at the Josefina Municipal Hall alongside LGU employees and representatives from various National Government Agencies (NGAs).

The activity reaffirmed the commitment of government agencies to unity, collaboration, and excellence in public service, while strengthening camaraderie in serving the community with integrity and dedication.

The newly asssgned personnel of the Mahayag Municipal Jail paid a courtesy call to JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Jail Warden, as they formally reported for duty.

Following the courtesy call, the Municipal Jail Warden conducted an orientation to reaffirm each personnel's designation and provide a comprehensive discussion of their duties and responsibilities. The activity emphasized professionalism, accountability, discipline, and teamwork as essential values in the effective performance of their respective mandates.

This activity underscores the facility's commitment to developing a competent, well-informed, and mission-driven workforce dedicated to ensuring safe custody, effective rehabilitation, and the delivery of quality public service.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, proudly congratulates its four (4) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) who successfully completed the Alternative Learning System (ALS).

The graduates consist of two (2) Elementary completers and two (2) Junior High School completers, all of whom received their certificates from the Department of Education.

This milestone reflects the facility's commitment to education, rehabilitation, and providing PDL with opportunities for personal growth and a brighter future.

The Mahayag Municipal Jail, under the leadership of JSINSP MARK IAN C CARCIDO, Municipal Warden, successfully concluded the PDL Summer League 2026, a sports and recreational program aimed at promoting physical fitness, fostering camaraderie, and helping alleviate stress among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The tournament featured basketball and dart competitions that showcased teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, culminating in a closing program and awarding ceremony for the winning teams.

Promoting wellness, unity, and positive transformation through sports.
