The Serbisyo Caravan cm Townhall Meeting under the 2025 Retooled Community Support Program was successfully conducted today June 17, 2025 reaching the communities of Barangay Magsaysay, Barangay Magpayang, and Barangay San Jose.

This collaborative initiative aimed at delivering essential government services directly to the grassroots level. Residents from the three barangays were able to avail themselves of various basic services such as medical consultations, processing of important documents and licenses, legal assistance, and distribution of free school supplies and agricultural seeds.

The caravan was made possible through the joint efforts and presence of several government offices and agencies, namely:

◼️National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)
◼️Land Transportation Office (LTO)
◼️Mainit Primary Care Facility
◼️Municipal Environment & Natural Resources Office
◼️Municipal Agriculture Office
◼️PESO

This effort not only brought government services closer to the people but also fostered stronger relationships between government institutions and the community—reflecting a unified commitment to responsive, inclusive, and people-centered governance.

LOOK: Hands-on Training on Oriental Herbal Nutrients Production in Mainit, Surigao del Norte
As part of the Cash-for-Training program under Stage 1 of Project LAWA at BINHI (Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished), partner beneficiaries in Mainit, Surigao del Norte, participated in a hands-on learning session on Oriental Herbal Nutrients (OHN) production.
Oriental Herbal Nutrients, one of the community’s identified projects, serves multiple purposes—it acts as a natural soil fertilizer, insect repellent, and vegetable growth enhancer, promoting sustainable and organic farming practices.
This training equips participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills to enhance agricultural productivity while maintaining eco-friendly farming methods.

With the goal of providing information on the social protection situation of a local government unit, a training workshop on the formulation of the Social Protection Development Report was participated by the Department and Unit Heads of the Local Government Unit of Mainit on November 25, 2024 at Kasili Lakeside Resort.

The SPDR process includes identifying risks and vulnerabilities to individuals, families, and communities,
prioritizing risks and vulnerabilities based on limited resources.

It also provides data and information for planning, budgeting, policy formulation, and program development
