Join us at 6:00 PM at the Maitum Youthpreneur Bazaar for the Closing Ceremony and Fireworks Display as we celebrate the incredible journey of MYF 2026 and recognize the young people, partners, volunteers, and communities who made this festival meaningful.

Let’s gather one last time, celebrate our collective achievements, and cap the festival with a dazzling fireworks display! See you tonight as we close this year’s celebration with pride, joy, and a renewed commitment to Championing the Grassroots. 🌱❤️

Today, we celebrate the energy, courage, creativity, and potential of young people everywhere.

This International Youth Day, the 7th Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Maitum joins the global community in recognizing the vital role of the youth in building stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable communities.

May we continue to speak with purpose, lead with compassion, take action with courage, and champion the grassroots—because meaningful change begins when young people choose to be part of it.

Yesterday, August 10, students and young people from different schools across Maitum came together for the MYF Youth Congress 2026, a space for learning, dialogue, and meaningful conversations on issues and opportunities that matter to the youth.

The participants also had the opportunity to visit the Youth Organizations Fair, where various youth organizations showcased their programs, advocacies, and goals, giving young Maitumians a glimpse of the different ways they can get involved and make a difference in their communities.

Through these activities, the Maitum Youth Festival 2026: Roots and Routes continues to create spaces where young people can connect, learn, and take action.

As we close the 3rd Maitum Youth Festival, we gather not only to celebrate what we have accomplished, but to reflect on the journey of young Maitumians who continue to shape the future of our municipality.

The State of the Youth Address 2026 is a celebration of the voices, stories, talents, and contributions that come from every barangay. Because championing the grassroots means recognizing that meaningful change begins where young people live, dream, participate, and lead. From our communities to the center of local governance, every young Maitumian has a role in building a stronger, more inclusive, and youth-centered future.

Join us tomorrow, August 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Maitum Municipal Gymnasium as we close the 3rd Maitum Youth Festival and celebrate a journey of youth action, participation, and impact.

The journey now reaches its most exciting chapter. As the 3rd Maitum Youth Festival continues to Champion the Grassroots, our young athletes take center stage for the Championship Games in Volleyball and Basketball - bringing with them the hard work, discipline, teamwork, and passion built from the very communities they represent.

This is more than a battle for the title. It is a celebration of grassroots talent, where every play carries the pride of a barangay and every athlete represents the strength of the Maitum Youth.

The grassroots have come this far. Now, let the champions rise.

𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒: 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐒 📰✨

Here are the successful elementary and secondary school students who placed in the recently concluded PRESSFORWARD 2026: Journalism Workshop, held on August 8–9, 2026, at Notre Dame of Maitum, Inc.

With more than 150 young participants from across Maitum, PRESSFORWARD 2026 became a meaningful space for learning, creativity, and storytelling—strengthening the skills of our young journalists in writing, broadcasting, photojournalism, and responsible journalism.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all participating schools, school paper advisers, parents, and student-participants for their support and enthusiasm. We also express our sincere gratitude to our partner school, Notre Dame of Maitum, Inc., for generously providing the venue and helping make this workshop possible.

To all our young journalists, congratulations! May you continue to use your voices and stories to inform, inspire, and amplify the stories of our communities. Through your words, may you continue to embody what it means to be young storytellers—championing the grassroots, one story at a time. 🌱

The Local Government Unit of Maitum, is pleased to announce the opening of the Maitum Educational Assistance and Scholarship Program, a program established under Municipal Ordinance No. 18, Series of 2025.

The program aims to assist indigent and deserving college students by providing financial support to help them continue their education.
