The Embassy is seeking the services of an individual consultant based in the Philippines to monitor the implementation of the "Addressing Stunting in the Philippines" project.

The project
"Addressing Stunting in the Philippines" is a project that seeks to contribute to the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition. It aims to prevent stunting among children under five by strengthening local health governance and service delivery. At least 140,000 individuals in Pangasinan and Mountain Province will benefit from the project. Consultant's qualifications:
• At least 5 years experience working in development programs and projects, preferably related to public health and nutrition programs and health system governance initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring development programs and projects. Experience in monitoring public health and nutrition programs is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in designing tools and methodologies (including data collection, analysis, and reporting) for monitoring development programs and projects.
• Have post-secondary degree, preferably in either social science, international development, or public health administration.
• Demonstrated experience in handling ethical risks in programming around sensitive issues, both in program delivery and in all aspects of monitoring and evaluation.

Location of work: The Consultant should be based in the Philippines.

Instruction to bidders: Proposals should follow the standard format as described in the Solicitation package.

The Embassy of Canada in the Philippines warmly welcomes the passage of Senate Resolution No. 548, expressing the Senate of the Philippines’ concurrence to the ratification of the Status of Visiting Forces Agreement (SOVFA) between Canada and the Philippines.

The Embassy extends its gratitude and appreciation to the Senate leadership for the timely process, with special recognition to Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri and Senator Erwin Tulfo for co-sponsoring this significant measure and championing our defence partnership.

🌟 Meet Kimberly Clair, one of our My Journey to Canada Storytelling Contest winners.

Kimberly Clair and her family arrived in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2023 through the Atlantic Immigration Program after spending two years researching immigration pathways and pursuing their dream of building a new life in Canada.

With nearly a decade of experience as a public-school teacher in the Philippines, she now works as an Early Childhood Educator in Newfoundland and Labrador. Despite challenges such as adapting to a new climate, overcoming language barriers, and navigating limited public transportation, Kimberly and her family embraced each obstacle as an opportunity for growth and deeper integration into their community.
