Ambassador Shri Harsh Kumar Jain joined the Indian Community of Davao (ICD) in celebrating India’s 80th Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan in Davao City on 16 August. He was warmly received by Mr. Kishore Jethmal, President, ICD, alongwith other members of the Management Committee.

The celebration brought together members of the Indian community and Filipino friends, with messages of friendship, goodwill and cooperation from Consul General of Japan H.E. Ono Hirotaka, Hon. Pilar C. Braga, and Dr. David Pillai, Founder and President of Davao Medical Education Management Services. The Mayor of Davao City and the Honorary Consul of Belgium also conveyed their greetings through their respective representatives who attended the event.

In his remarks, Ambassador Jain highlighted the significance of Independence Day and the message of unity, affection and mutual support embodied by Raksha Bandhan. He commended ICD for fostering unity within the Indian community, preserving and sharing Indian heritage, and contributing to the social, cultural and economic life of Davao City.

ICD members expressed their gratitude to Ambassador Jain for gracing the celebration and for his continued encouragement and support to the Indian community in Davao

Ambassador Shri Harsh Kumar Jain joined the 9th edition of the Indian Independence Day Friendship Golf Tournament at The Orchard Golf & Country Club on 14 August to celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day. Smt. Vandana Jain joined the dinner and awards ceremony following the game.

A wonderful day of golf, camaraderie and friendship, bringing together friends from the Philippine Government, Armed Forces of the Philippines, diplomatic community, business, Indian diaspora and sporting fraternity.

Ambassador Shri Harsh Kumar Jain, along with his spouse Smt. Vandana Jain, graced the celebration of India’s 80th Independence Day, organised by the India Business Forum Philippines (IBF) under the theme “Viksit Bharat – A Developed India by 2047” at Hilton Manila.

The event brought together members of the Indian business community, Filipino friends and partners, and representatives of Indian diaspora organisations for an evening of cultural fellowship and business networking.

The celebration reaffirmed the shared vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047 and the strong and growing India–Philippines partnership. 🇮🇳🇵🇭
