Please be advised that the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) will conduct its Mid-Year Assessment from August 25, 2026 (Tuesday) to August 26, 2026 (Wednesday).

No physical transactions or walk-in service counters will be available during these dates.

The Online Portal remains operational for standard application filings and submissions.

The Board discussed several matters concerning the Philippine construction industry including proposed initiatives that aim to introduce regulatory reforms and support the industry's growth and development.

The CIAP, together with its implementing arms, remain committed to the Philippine Construction Industry Roadmap's vision of a future-oriented, biodiversity-sensitive, and globally competitive Philippine construction industry that builds with integrity.

๐Œ๐š๐ค๐š๐ญ๐ข ๐‚๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ โ€“ The Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP), together with its implementing boards, participated in a two-day Inter-Board Roadmapping session held on July 21 and 24, 2026.

The session is part of the Governance Manual and Transformation Roadmap project of the CIAP and PCAB which seeks to elevate the impact of the construction industry by strengthening accountability, transparency, and good governance mechanisms in the construction industry.

Led by CIAPโ€™s consulting partner, the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA), the activity gathered representatives and officials across each implementing boards including its Executive Directors and Board Members, to concretize the agencyโ€™s commitment to transform and ensure good governance in the Philippine Construction Industry.

Further, the session confirmed the Roadmapโ€™s Five Big Bold Moves (BBM) as the agency's shared reform architecture, sharing one strategic scorecard and overall, a single, shared system of information portal, PCAB contractorsโ€™ licensing, training, dispute resolution, market intelligence, and policy advocacy to encapsulate the goals and mandates of the CIAP and its implementing arms.

By 2030, a One CIAP is envisioned to sustain a cleaner, more capable, rules-based, globally competitive and easier to navigate Philippine Construction Industry.

CIAP Executive Director Atty. Mark Brian A. Dela Cruz emphasized the agencyโ€™s ongoing initiatives to address recent challenges being faced by the industry. During the forum, Atty. Dela Cruz conveyed that CIAP is currently undertaking reforms to improve and strengthen the contractorsโ€™ licensing process. He highlighted the agencyโ€™s overall goal of transforming the licensing portal of the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) into a transparent and responsive system in support of ease of doing business and industry competitiveness.

On the discussion regarding construction workforce development, Atty. Dela Cruz mentioned the ongoing initiatives of the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF), one of CIAPโ€™s implementing arms, to address skills mismatch and other employment-related challenges in the construction industry. He noted that CMDFโ€™s ongoing project, the Philippine Skills Framework for Construction (PSFC), is intricately designed to support all construction professionals in honing their skills to effectively address the increasing competencies demanded by the construction sector.

Overall, the CIAP remains committed to upholding the goal of making the Philippine construction industry a global partner in building nations as envisioned in the Philippine Construction Industry Roadmap 2020-2030.
