ALAM MO BA? — Ang pagiging matalinong consumer ay hindi lang tungkol sa pagbili… minsan, tungkol din sa pagtulong? 💙
Every September, the whole Philippines celebrates Consumer Welfare Month – isang buwan para ipaalala na tayo, bilang mamimili, may kapangyarihang pumili, mag-demand ng kalidad, at higit sa lahat, maging responsable.
Pero ngayong taon sa Aklan, may kakaibang twist: gagawin natin ito habang tumatakbo! 🏃‍♀️
👉 On September 27, 2025, the 2025 Consumer Run will gather hundreds of Aklanons sa kalsada mula Pook Port hanggang Pastrana Park, Kalibo. Pero teka – hindi lang ito basta takbuhan. Bawat hakbang dito, may tinutulungan ka. 🙌
Dahil lahat ng proceeds will go to the community projects of “JCI Aklan Kalantiao” – programs designed to uplift lives, support local initiatives, and spark change. Kaya isipin mo, habang tumatakbo ka ng 5KM, hindi lang katawan ang pinapalakas mo. You’re also running for a cause, for Aklan, and for the future.
At may dagdag pa – aside from the finisher medal, race bib, pagkain, at certificate, you also get that rare moment where exercise meets advocacy. Yung simpleng pagtakbo, nagiging kwento ng pakikipagkapwa. 💡
So this Consumer’s Month, remember: being a “wise consumer” is not just about making smart choices in the market. Sometimes, it’s choosing to spend your energy, time, and even a little money on something that creates ripples of change. 🌊

Oo. Ang Business Name Registration ay nagbibigay lamang ng legal identity sa isang negosyo. Para makapag-operate and business, kailangang kumuha ng Business o Mayor’s Permit mula sa local government.

IN PHOTOS | DTI AKLAN HOSTS KMME-MME ONLINE BATCH 2 REGIONAL LAUNCH AND ORIENTATION PROGRAM

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6 officially launched the 2nd Batch of Kapatid Mentor ME - Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online Program this morning, August 15, via Zoom.

During the opening program, DTI Aklan Provincial Director Romel L. Amihan welcomed the mentees, PCE representatives, and the DTI 6 Team. He also gave his expectations to the mentees to encourage them to maximize their learnings from the program.

DTI 6 OIC Assistant Regional Director Mutya D. Eusores delivered a special message, giving support to the hosting of the DTI Aklan for this batch, as well as words of encouragement to the mentees as they start their KMME journey. She also shared the how the program has continuously improved over the years, providing a platform for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to upscale their businesses.

On the other hand, Usec. Blesila A. Lantayona of the DTI Regional Operations Group (ROG) and Mr. Patrick Chua from the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship - Go Negosyo, gave their special messages to the mentees as they embark on this new entrepreneurial journey.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rholan Christian S. Nuqui, PCE Representative, conducted the orientation regarding the program as well as the Zoom house rules.

A total of 50 mentees from Western Visayas, eight (8) of which coming from the Province of Aklan, will undergo the 10-module mentorship program starting August 20 until September 2025.

The event will introduce our official mentees, a dynamic group of multi-sectoral micro and small entrepreneurs from across the region, who will embark on a 10-week journey of learning, mentoring, and business improvement under the KMME-MME Online Program. The launching will also include an orientation on the program’s components, in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship.

Join us online and be part of this exciting milestone as we continue to equip our MSEs with the knowledge, skills, and networks they need to thrive.
