The Western Visayas BIZCONEX on Wheels โ Aklan Leg successfully concluded today, July 23, 2026, at the ABL Sports Complex in Kalibo, Aklan, bringing together MSMEs, government leaders, private sector representatives, and development partners.
The event was graced by Atty. Jobert Peรฑaflorida, Chairperson of the RDC VI - Economic Development Committee and Area Vice President of the PCCI- Visayas; Hon. Florencio Miraflores, Congressman of the 2nd District of Aklan; Hon. Jesus Marquez, Congressman of the 1st District of Aklan; and Engr. Fulbert Woo, Regional Governor of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry โ Region VI.
A highlight of the conference was the Fireside Chat with Hon. Jose Enrique Miraflores, Governor of the Province of Aklan and Chairperson of the Regional Development Council VI, who reaffirmed the government's unwavering commitment to empowering MSMEs through stronger collaboration, accessible support programs, and strategic investments in infrastructure and local industries. He encouraged entrepreneurs to continue innovating and assured them that the Provincial Government of Aklan, together with its partner agencies, remains steadfast in creating greater opportunities for businesses to grow and contribute to the province's sustained economic progress.
As one of the event's key side activities, the Paleng-QR Ph Plus Program was officially launched in Aklan, reinforcing the province's commitment to accelerating digital transformation and promoting cashless transactions among public market vendors, transport operators, and local businesses. The initiative is expected to enhance financial inclusion and support the digitalization of the local economy.
Throughout the day, participants gained valuable insights on green growth and sustainable business practices, the Western Visayas Export Marketing Roadmap, and inspiring success stories from local entrepreneurs. The Workshop on Developing MSME Policy Solutions also provided a platform for meaningful dialogue, allowing stakeholders to collaboratively identify recommendations that will help shape a more responsive, enabling, and resilient business environment for MSMEs.
As emphasized during the closing message of Acting ARD Romel Amihan, the success of today's conference reflects what can be achieved when government, the private sector, development partners, and entrepreneurs work together toward a common vision of inclusive and sustainable economic development.
