EASTERN POLICE DISTRICT REINFORCES COLLABORATION AND PARTNERSHIP WITH BLESS OUR COPS TO ENHANCE SPIRITUAL, MORAL, AND WELFARE SUPPORT FOR EPD PERSONNEL

In line with the continuing efforts of the Eastern Police District (EPD) to strengthen the holistic well-being of its personnel, a Special Meeting was conducted to reinforce its collaboration with Bless Our Cops (BOC), focusing on spiritual, moral, and welfare support initiatives that aim to enhance personnel resilience and service effectiveness held at around 9:00 AM on May 28, 2026 at the EPD Conference Room, Caruncho Avenue, Barangay Malinao, Pasig City.

The activity aimed to further strengthen the partnership between the Eastern Police District and Bless Our Cops in advancing programs that support the spiritual, moral, and welfare development of EPD personnel.

The activity was spearheaded by PBGEN ADEN T LAGRADANTE, District Director, together with the EPD Command Group and District Staff, underscoring the District’s sustained commitment to personnel well-being through values formation, moral strengthening, and spiritual enrichment.

The meeting was facilitated by the District Community Affairs and Development Division (DCADD), headed by PLTCOL RANDY C MORATALLA, Chief, DCADD, who ensured the orderly coordination and smooth conduct of the activity.

In attendance were the EPD Life Coach and pastors from Bless Our Cops, led by Pastor Renato P. Paraan, BOC NCR Coordinator. Their participation provided meaningful insights and reinforced the shared commitment of both institutions in promoting the spiritual resilience, moral integrity, and overall welfare of police personnel.

The activity was conducted in line with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Focused Agenda on Morale and Welfare Program, which emphasizes the importance of strengthening the emotional, spiritual, and moral foundation of personnel to enhance service efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to sustain and further strengthen collaborative efforts that promote the continued spiritual growth, moral strength, and welfare of EPD personnel.

EPD HONORS "NATIONAL FLAG DAY 2026" WITH FLAG RAISING CEREMONY AND RENEWED COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE

In solemn observance of the National Flag Day 2026, the Eastern Police District (EPD) conducted a flag-raising ceremony at around 7:00 AM on May 28, 2026, held at the EPD Headquarters Multi-Purpose Hall, Caruncho Avenue, Barangay Malinao, Pasig City.

The activity was highlighted by the ceremonial raising of the Philippine Flag and the recitation of the Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, symbolizing the unwavering patriotism, unity, and dedication of every member of the organization to the country and the Filipino people.

The ceremony was spearheaded by PBGEN Aden T Lagradante, District Director, together with the members of the EPD Command Group and District Staff. Also in attendance were the Key Officers, Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs), and Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUPs) of EPD.

In his message, PBGEN Lagradante emphasized the significance of the Philippine Flag as the enduring symbol of the nation’s freedom, honor, and sovereignty. He likewise reminded all EPD personnel that the observance of National Flag Day serves as a renewed call for every public servant to uphold integrity, discipline, courage, and selfless service in fulfilling their sworn duty to the people and the Constitution.

The Eastern Police District reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to nation-building and public service, inspired by the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino forefathers who fought for the country’s independence. As guardians of peace and order in the eastern part of Metro Manila, EPD personnel continue to embody patriotism through dedicated law enforcement, community partnership, and genuine service to the public.

The observance further strengthened the unity and esprit de corps among EPD personnel, reminding every member that loyalty to the flag is reflected not only in words, but more importantly in honorable actions, professionalism, and sincere commitment to protect and serve the Filipino nation.

EPD EARNS RANK NO. 1 IN NCRPO’S UNIT PERFORMANCE EVALUATION RATING FOR 12 STRAIGHT MONTHS

The Eastern Police District (EPD) once again demonstrated its commitment to excellence after securing Rank No. 1 in the Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) NCRPO-Wide for twelve (12) consecutive months, covering the period from April 2025 to March 2026. Led by PBGEN Aden T Lagradante, the District sustained its standing as one of the top-performing police districts in the National Capital Region through the collective efforts of its personnel, Chiefs of Police of PaMaMariSan CPS, DMFB, LGUs, partner agencies, stakeholders, and community force multipliers.

With jurisdiction over Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan, EPD continued to excel in police operations, administrative governance, and community-centered policing aligned with the PNP’s “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman” and the DILG’s “Safer Cities” initiatives. The District also maintained the lowest number of administrative cases in the entire NCRPO, reflecting professionalism, accountability, and discipline among its ranks.

EPD further strengthened community relations through programs such as Alagang EPD, Adopt-A-Student, and EPD PITO PATROL: Tunog ng Seguridad, while sustaining strong accomplishments in Enhanced Managing Patrol Operations (E-MPO) and anti-criminality campaigns against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and loose fi****ms.

The District also earned several recognitions, including Best NCRPO Police District for CY 2024–2025, the Service Excellence Award from National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), Champion in the NCRPO E-MPO Challenge 2025, 2nd Place in the NCRPO CDM Competition 2025, and Champion in the NCRPO Singing Cops of the Philippines Season 2, later finishing as 4th Runner-Up in the national competition held at Camp Crame.

PBGEN Lagradante commended the men and women of EPD for their dedication and sustained excellence in public service: “I commend the men and women of the Eastern Police District for your sustained excellence and unwavering commitment that have consistently placed our Police District at the forefront of operational and administrative performance within the NCRPO for 12 consecutive months. BUY-BUST SA MANDALUYONG PhP340K SHABU NASABAT

Dahil sa mas pinaigting na kampanya ng Eastern Police District (EPD) laban sa ilegal na droga, apat na hinihinalang sangkot sa iligal na droga ang naaresto sa isinagawang buy-bust operation ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) ng Mandaluyong City Police Station dakong alas-6:10 ng gabi noong Mayo 7, 2026 sa Block 7, BLISS Compound, Brgy. Mauway, Mandaluyong City. Ang operasyon ay kaugnay ng Safer Cities Initiatives ng DILG at PNP Focused Agenda.

Kinilala ang mga suspek na sina alyas “Myra” (42), “Len” (36), “Putot” (20), at “Mudol” (24), pawang walang trabaho, at mga residente ng Dasmariñas, Cavite at Mandaluyong City.

Nakumpiska sa operasyon ang 17 sachets ng hinihinalang shabuna may kabuuang timbang na humigit-kumulang 50 gramo, na tinatayang may halagang PhP340,000, kabilang sa nakumpiska ang buy-bust money, digital weighing scale, at iba pang drug paraphernalia.

Ayon sa pulisya, target sa operasyon si alyas “Myra” na umano’y nakikipagtransaksyon sa bentahan ng ilegal na droga, subalit, nung ikinasa ang operasyon, nahuli din ang iba pang mga kasamahan nito.

Matapos ang operasyon, ipinaalam sa mga suspek ang kanilang mga karapatan, pagkatapos, dinala sa Mandaluyong City Medical Center para sa medikal na proseso at sa EPD Forensic Unit para sa drug testing at chemical examination.

Nahaharap ang mga suspek sa reklamong paglabag sa Sections 5, 13 at 26 ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Samantala, pinuri ni Police Brigadier General Aden T Lagradante, District Director ng EPD, ang naging matagumpay na operasyon ng SDEU Mandaluyong. “Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga upang mapanatili ang kaayusan at kaligtasan ng ating komunidad. Hindi titigil ang EPD sa pagsugpo sa mga iligal na gawain na sumisira sa kinabukasan ng mamamayan,” ani ng heneral. # # #
