PASAY CITY โ A 48-year-old Filipino woman was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on August 15, 2026, following the joint implementation of two Warrants of Arrest issued by courts in Cebu City.
Personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection GroupโRegional Field Unit 7 (CIDG-RFU7), Operations and Detection SectionโRegional Special Operations Team (ODS-RSOT), coordinated with NAIA Police Station 1 (NPS 1)regarding an inbound passenger with outstanding warrants. NPS 1, in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration and Airline Security, facilitated the passengerโs monitoring and interception.
Upon her arrival from Los Angeles, USA, the passenger was intercepted at the Immigration Arrival Area due to a Hold Departure Order with a recorded Warrant of Arrest and was subsequently turned over to NPS 1.
Joint personnel served a 2002 Warrant of Arrest for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention, with no bail recommended, and an Alias Warrant for Estafa, likewise with no bail recommended. She failed to present an Order of Release from the issuing court and was consequently placed under arrest.
The accused was informed of the offenses and apprised of her constitutional rights, with an Alternative Recording Device used during the arrest.
The accused was turned over to CIDG-RFU7 for documentation and proper disposition.
