PASAY CITY — A 48-year-old Filipino woman was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on August 15, 2026, following the joint implementation of two Warrants of Arrest issued by courts in Cebu City.

Personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group–Regional Field Unit 7 (CIDG-RFU7), Operations and Detection Section–Regional Special Operations Team (ODS-RSOT), coordinated with NAIA Police Station 1 (NPS 1)regarding an inbound passenger with outstanding warrants. NPS 1, in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration and Airline Security, facilitated the passenger’s monitoring and interception.

Upon her arrival from Los Angeles, USA, the passenger was intercepted at the Immigration Arrival Area due to a Hold Departure Order with a recorded Warrant of Arrest and was subsequently turned over to NPS 1.

Joint personnel served a 2002 Warrant of Arrest for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention, with no bail recommended, and an Alias Warrant for Estafa, likewise with no bail recommended. She failed to present an Order of Release from the issuing court and was consequently placed under arrest.

The accused was informed of the offenses and apprised of her constitutional rights, with an Alternative Recording Device used during the arrest.

The accused was turned over to CIDG-RFU7 for documentation and proper disposition.

Pasay City — A scheduled flight out of the country was interrupted when authorities acted on a court-issued alias warrant involving a 47-year-old Filipino male passenger at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on August 15, 2026.

Prior to his scheduled departure for Hong Kong, San Quintin Police Station, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, Police Regional Office 1, coordinated with NAIA Police Station 3, PNP Aviation Security Group, regarding the alias warrant, prompting coordination with the Bureau of Immigration and the airline that led to the passenger’s interception and being brought to NAIA PS 3 for verification.

Personnel of the San Quintin Police Station later formally served the alias warrant for an alleged violation of Section 5 (e) 2 of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004. Recommended bail was set at PhP36,000.00.

Accused is now under the custody of the San Quintin Police Station for documentation and appropriate legal action.

PANGLAO, BOHOL—A wanted man was arrested upon arrival at the Bohol-Panglao International Airport following a joint operation by the Dauis Municipal Police Station (DMPS) and the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP), Bohol-Panglao International Airport Police Station (BPIAPS) on August 12, 2026.

The 57-year-old Filipino passenger, who arrived from Manila, was subsequently arrested due to a pending Warrant of Arrest dated April 4, 2025, issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 3, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

The warrant stemmed from two criminal cases involving Sexual Assault and Acts of Lasciviousness, both in relation to RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act). Recommended bail was set at ₱180,000 for each case.

The arrested person was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his rights. The arrest was documented using an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) in accordance with Supreme Court guidelines on the ex*****on of warrants.

He was subsequently brought to the Dauis Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Pasay City — A 2014 warrant of arrest resurfaced during arrival processing at NAIA Terminal 1, leading to the arrest of a 73-year-old passenger from Honolulu, Hawaii on August 9, 2026.

An outstanding warrant appeared in the Bureau of Immigration (BI) system, prompting BI personnel to intercept the passenger and coordinate with NAIA Police Station 1 (NAIA PS 1).

After verification, he was turned over to NAIA PS 1 for investigation and joint implementation of the warrant with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, NCRFU SMMDFU.

During the investigation, the accused acknowledged that he was aware of the case filed against him. He explained that he stopped providing financial support to his former partner after she allegedly demanded that half of his salary be given to her.

Court records show that the warrant was issued on February 5, 2014, in connection with an alleged violation of Section 5(i) in relation to Section 6(f) of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004. Bail for the case was fixed at PhP24,000.00.

Accused is now under the custody of CIDG, NCRFU SMMDFU for documentation and further legal action.
