The National Child Development Center โ Early Childhood Care and Development (NCDC-ECCD) of the Municipality of Makilala successfully celebrated its Nutrition Month Culmination today, bringing together learners, parents, teachers, and guests in a vibrant and meaningful program that promoted the importance of proper nutrition and early childhood development.
One of the highlights of the event was the Child Nutrition Education conducted by guest speaker Ms. Ma. Lara R. Tamba, RND, who shared valuable lessons on healthy eating and nutrition among young children. The program also featured the Induction of the Child Development Service Parents Group (CDSPG) Officers, administered by Ms. Lina V. Caรฑedo, RSW, MPA, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer, who likewise delivered an inspiring message encouraging parents to actively support their children's growth and learning.
Adding color and excitement to the celebration was the presentation of learners from ITED, Pre-K1, and Pre-K2, who confidently showcased their creative Nutrition Month Attire, earning warm applause from the audience. The enthusiasm and active participation of everyone made the event lively and memorable.
The activity was made possible through the support of Mayor Armando M. Quibod and Vice Mayor Atty. Ryan D. Tabanay, who continue to emphasize the importance of quality early childhood care and education alongside proper nutrition as foundations for a healthier and brighter future.
The successful culmination concluded with a food fellowship, strengthening the sense of community among participants. Spearheaded by School Teacher Ms. Jermie L. Elevado, with the cooperation and participation of parents, learners, and stakeholders, the event marked a successful first major activity of the institution for the current school year.
