In line with the continuous effort to empower local cooperatives and ensure effective leadership, the ๐ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ facilitated the โ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ training held on August 12, 2025, at Makilala, Cotabato.
This capacity-building activity aimed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and ethical responsibility of cooperative leaders in fulfilling their mandates and making sound decisions for the welfare of their members.
The event featured insightful discussions from distinguished speakers:
1. ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐บ๐๐ ๐ฉ. ๐ฉ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ, ๐๐ฃ๐ โ Former Municipal Cooperative Development Officer, who shared his expertise on cooperative governance, leadership dynamics, and the importance of transparency and accountability.
2. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น๐ผ๐ ๐ฅ. ๐๐๐๐ถ โ Senior Cooperative Development Specialist from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), who tackled policies, compliance requirements, and strategies to strengthen cooperative performance.
3. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ โ Chief Executive Officer of Makilala Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MakMPC), who shared best practices and success stories in cooperative management and member engagement.
Participants from various cooperatives in Makilala actively engaged in the discussions, expressing their commitment to apply the learnings in their respective organizations.
Through this initiative, the LGU and partner agencies reaffirm their dedication to nurturing cooperative leaders who uphold good governance, accountability, and sustainable development for the community.
