May 29, 2026 — The Malabon City Jail - Male Dormitory, under the progressive leadership of JSUPT LUCKY O DIONISIO, City Jail Warden, successfully leveled up its rehabilitation and environmental conservation efforts, through a hands-on eco-friendly skills training program for Persons Deprived of Liberty.

The green workshop, conducted by FLS Group Philippines, enabled PDL to master two highly innovative upcycling techniques. Participants learned to process waste into 𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙡 and craft functional 𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 from discarded cloth. By breathing new life into materials, the training highlighted the importance of practical waste reduction and active resource conservation.

Through waste reduction and resource conservation, the program provides PDL with sustainable and marketable skills, preparing them to pursue independent and eco-conscious livelihoods upon reintegration into society.

May 26, 2026 — In a remarkable show of compassion and solidarity, the Malabon City Jail – Male Dormitory, under the leadership of JSUPT LUCKY O DIONISIO, City Jail Warden, successfully carried out a Medical and Dental Mission for Persons Deprived of Liberty.

The initiative, held within the facility, brought essential healthcare services directly to PDL beneficiaries, offering medical consultations, dental care, and vital health assistance.

The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Restorative Justice Ministry – Diocese of Kalookan, St. Mary’s Dental Clinic, and St. Joseph Clinic, whose generosity and dedication brought not only healthcare services, but also encouragement and renewed hope to those under custody.

More than a health mission, the activity reflected the shared commitment to uphold humanity, and restorative care within correctional facilities, proving that even behind bars, healing and hope continue to thrive.

Twenty-seven Persons Restored of Liberty (PRL) from Malabon City Jail – Male Dormitory received financial assistance through the CSWDD’s Second Chance Program on May 23, 2026, helping them take meaningful steps toward rebuilding their lives and starting anew beyond detention.

Malabon CJMD extends its heartfelt gratitude to the City Government of Malabon, CSWDD, HLAF, and World Vision Foundation for their continued support in giving hope and second chances to former PDL.
