✨ “𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘀, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀” ✨

Amid the challenges brought by the 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 that affected our community, the 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺 successfully conducted a 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 on August 21, 2026, at Sumbo Village, Barangay Kinam.

In consideration of the situation of our community, this year’s celebration was held as a 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆. Despite the circumstances, we remained committed to providing our youth with an opportunity to come together, participate, and celebrate the importance of their role in our community.

The day began with the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗭𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, followed by the 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆, providing an avenue for the youth to be informed, heard, and engaged.

The afternoon continued with the 𝗬𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗵𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, bringing our young people together in a meaningful celebration.

The theme, “𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘀, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀,” reminds us that every young person has a different story, experience, and circumstance. Yet despite these differences, we share common aspirations—to be heard, to have opportunities to grow, and to contribute to a better and safer community.

The recent earthquake reminded us of how vulnerable our communities can be in times of crisis. But it also showed us the 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 of people who choose to stand together.

The 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺 extends its sincere appreciation to the Barangay Council, SK Council, Katipunan ng Kabataan, volunteers, parents, community members, partners, and everyone behind the scenes who contributed their time, effort, and support to make this celebration possible.

Most importantly, we thank the 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺 for actively participating and making this celebration meaningful.

Linggo ng Kabataan may have been celebrated for only one day this year, but 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁.

As we celebrate 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒐 𝑵𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏 2026, we once again bring together the young people of Barangay Kinam—not only to celebrate, but also to 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕, 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒆, 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒔, 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔, 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓. 🤝

The youth may come from different backgrounds, have different experiences, and carry different dreams, but we share something in common: 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅. This celebration is a reminder that being young is not simply about having dreams for the future. It is also about 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒗𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒅.

So whether you’re joining the activities, supporting your friends, showing your talent, trying something new, or simply coming along for the experience, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. Because 𝑩𝑳𝑵𝑲 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓. 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒂 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝒕𝒉.

Today, we proudly honor the 39 graduates of Barangay Kinam who have reached an important milestone in their lives. Your graduation is the result of years of hard work, determination, discipline, and sacrifice. Every challenge you faced has shaped you into the person you are today, making this achievement truly well deserved.

For many of you, earning this diploma was never easy. Some traveled long distances just to attend classes, balanced school with work, supported their families, or overcame personal struggles along the way. Despite these challenges, you remained committed to your goals and never lost sight of your dreams. Your perseverance has brought you to this moment, and your success serves as an inspiration to our community.

This achievement is not yours alone. The 7th Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Kinam remains committed to serving our community, especially during times of hardship. Today, we reached out to the families of Sitio Cegnal by distributing relief goods to those affected by the recent earthquake.

Though no amount of assistance can erase the difficulties brought by this disaster, we hope these relief goods bring comfort and remind every family that they are not alone. Together, through compassion, unity, and the spirit of bayanihan, we can overcome every challenge.

We sincerely thank everyone who supported this relief effort and extended their helping hands. Your generosity and kindness have made a meaningful difference in the lives of our fellow residents.

The 7th Sangguniang Kabataan of Kinam extends its sincerest gratitude to GEMACO Baptist Women, in partnership with SBPWMU and Lun Padidu Christian Fellowship, for their generous donation of relief goods and clothing for the evacuees from Sitio Lamlutay and Sitio Kalmenge, Barangay Kinam.
