On August 12, 2026, Olea Elementary School conducted a Student-Led Hazard Mapping Activity as part of its efforts to promote disaster preparedness, safety awareness and risk reduction among learners.

The activity involved selected learners who actively participated in identifying and mapping possible hazards within and around the school premises. Spearheaded by our School Head Sir Rolly A. Liquiran and guided by the SELG adviser, the pupils carefully observed areas that could pose risks, such as slippery pathways, possible falling objects, electrical hazards, blocked passageways and other unsafe conditions. They discussed the possible effects of these hazards and identified appropriate safety measures and evacuation routes.

The activity provided the learners with an opportunity to become more aware of their surroundings and understand the importance of being prepared before, during and after emergencies. Through their active participation, the learners developed a stronger sense of responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their fellow students.

The Student-Led Hazard Mapping Activity was successfully conducted through the cooperation of the school administration, teachers and learners. It strengthened the school's commitment in creating a safe and disaster-resilient learning environment. The activity also demonstrated that pupils play an important role in promoting safety and preparedness within the school community.

Overall, the activity was meaningful and productive. It enhanced the learners' knowledge of hazards and encouraged them to take an active role in disaster risk reduction and school safety.

Olea Elementary School successfully conducted a Feeding Program for Kinder to Grade 2 learners through the generosity and kindness of our valued donor. The activity aimed to provide nutritious meals and promote the health and well-being of our learners, helping them stay active, focused, and ready to learn.

The feeding activity brought joy and excitement to the children as they received healthy and delicious food. It also highlighted the importance of community support in ensuring that every learner has access to proper nutrition, which is essential for their growth and academic success.

Monitoring and Technical Assistance to Teachers of Olea Elementary School.

As part of the continuous effort to improve the quality of instruction and support professional growth among teachers, monitoring and technical assistance activities were conducted at Olea Elementary School by our Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), Dr. Mary Joy C. Agsalon, together with our School Head, Mr. Rolly A. Liquiran.

The activity focused on providing guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to teachers regarding classroom instruction, assessment practices, lesson preparation, and the implementation of educational programs.

Through classroom observations, discussions, and coaching sessions, teachers were given valuable insights and recommendations to enhance their teaching effectiveness and learner outcomes.

The presence and support of Dr. Agsalon and Mr. Liquiran demonstrated their commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional excellence, and collaborative learning within the school. Installation of Additional CCTV Cameras in Olea Elementary School

To further strengthen the safety, security, and protection of learners, teachers, and school properties, additional Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras were installed in strategic areas of Olea Elementary School. The installation aims to enhance monitoring of school facilities, promote a secure learning environment, and help prevent unwanted incidents within the school premises.

This initiative, led by our proactive School Head, Mr. Rolly A. Liquiran, reflects the school's commitment to ensuring the welfare of all stakeholders. The newly installed CCTV cameras will provide better surveillance coverage in key locations, supporting effective school management and maintaining peace and order within the school.

Through this improvement, Olea Elementary School continues to uphold its dedication to creating a safe, disciplined, and learner-friendly environment conducive to quality education.

Installation of Additional Solar Lights Around Olea Elementary School

Under the leadership and initiative of School Head Rolly A. Liquiran, another batch of solar-powered lights was installed in strategic locations around Olea Elementary School to maintain the brightness and security of the school premises. This project aims to provide adequate lighting during nighttime, ensuring a safer and more conducive environment for learners, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.

The installation of additional solar lights demonstrates the school's commitment to improving its facilities while promoting the use of renewable energy. Through this initiative, the school grounds remain well-lit, enhancing safety, preventing potential accidents, and supporting various school activities even during evening hours.

Parents’ Orientation on the Opening of Classes and School Policies

A Parents’ Orientation was successfully conducted June 10, 2026 in preparation for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027. The activity was led by our ever-active School Head, Mr. Rolly A. Liquiran, together with all Grade Level Chairpersons.

During the orientation, parents were informed about the school's plans, programs, and activities for the new school term. Important matters discussed included the school opening guidelines, learner attendance, school policies, and the roles and responsibilities of parents in supporting their children's education.

The School Head together with the grade level chairmans also presented the revised guidelines on classroom assessment, emphasizing the importance of fair, learner-centered, and competency-based evaluation. Parents were oriented on the different assessment tools and methods that will be used to monitor learners' progress throughout the school year.

Furthermore, the grading system was thoroughly explained, including the computation of grades, performance standards, and reporting procedures. Parents were given the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the assessment and grading processes by the Master Teacher II, Evelyn P. Calais.

Another important topic discussed was the Awards and Recognition Program for the Basic Education Program, highlighting the criteria and guidelines for academic and non-academic awards. Parents were encouraged to support their children in striving for excellence while valuing holistic development and good character by the School Guidance designate, Ma. Lourdes M. de Ocampo.

The activity strengthened the partnership between the school and the parents, fostering a collaborative environment that supports the academic success and well-being of all learners.
