Balite ES joins the NTD 2026
In support of National Oral Health Month 2026, Balite Elementary School, headed by Mdm Marife M. Laureta actively participated in the National Toothbrushing Day on February 2, 2026, at 7:30 in the morning, aimed at promoting oral hygiene and awareness among learners.
This initiative, in line with the yearโs national theme, โDENTISTAโY KAAGAPAY SA NGITING WALANG HUMPAY,โ which highlighted the important role of dentists as partners in maintaining good oral health and sustaining healthy, confident smiles among learners.
A total of 155 learners participated in the activity together with their teachers. The simultaneous toothbrushing activity was properly monitored using the Time-Stamp application, which ensured real-time monitoring and documentation of the activity, and were submitted to the Health and Nutrition Unit for documentation and assessment.
The school also actively participated in the virtual program via the Zoom application, which was joined by the School Health Coordinator, Ms. Patricia Mejia. Her presence strengthened the schoolโs commitment to supporting health-related programs and ensuring the successful implementation of oral health initiatives.
Overall, the observance of National Toothbrushing Day 2026 in Balite Elementary School was meaningful and successful, as it reinforced positive oral hygiene habits among learners and strengthened collaboration between the school and health partners.
