The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-X) Bukidnon Provincial Field Office has released a total of P42,122,558.00 to 4,489 beneficiaries across the province during the nationwide observance of the 124th Labor Day on May 1, 2026, at Robinsons Valencia.
Held under the national theme, โDisenteng Trabaho Para sa Lahat: Isang Hangarin, Bagong Pilipinas Sama-Samang Mararating,โ the event provided immediate financial relief to workers and families affected by income disruption across the province.
Under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program, 3,498 beneficiaries received wage payouts totaling P27,078,558.00. Each beneficiary received P7,290.00 where they are engaged in community-driven projects for 15 days.
Meanwhile, under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), 980 informal sector workers benefited from livelihood grants amounting to P14,930,000.00. The grants are provided in the form of startup materials for projects such as sari-sari stores, agricultural and livestock ventures, and other community-based enterprises tailored to local needs and market opportunities.
In addition, DOLE also released checks under the Sugar Amelioration Program (SAP) in the Sugar Industry amounting to P114,000.00 โ covering death benefit claims for 3 planters/cultivators, and maternity benefits for 3 mill workers, 2 planters/cultivators, and 4 field workers.
In partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), DOLE also catered to the Kadiwa ng Pangulo event, where workers and consumers could purchase affordable food and basic goods directly from local producers.
The activity is part of a nationwide Labor Day 2026 initiative aimed at delivering immediate economic relief and fostering long-term resilience among Filipino workers and their families.
