📍 IP Eco Park, Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon

NCIP Bukidnon Provincial Officer Ronaldo L. Baya-on, together with the Manolo Fortich CSC led by Ma’am Samiah Lleslao, the Manolo Fortich Water District, and leaders of the Bukidnon-Talaandig ICCs/IPs, gathered at the IP Eco Park, Dahilayan for the presentation of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

The primary purpose of this activity is to present the formal terms of agreement and establish a transparent partnership for the Water Surface Development Project, fully adhering to the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) guidelines under IPRA.

Through this landmark agreement, the Bukidnon-Talaandig community secures full protection of their ancestral domain while gaining fair community benefits and sustainable development opportunities. Furthermore, it empowers tribal leaders with active decision-making authority over the management and utilization of their natural resources.

​The Matigsalug-Manobo ICCs, WOVOKA Philippines, Inc., and NCIP Region X officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to conduct a Feasibility Study for Carbon Projects within CADT No. R10-KIT-0703-0011.

​In full alignment with the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Act (IPRA), this initiative adheres strictly to the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process—ensuring all development within ancestral domains respects cultural integrity, self-determination, and community rights.

​In attendance were NCIP Acting Regional Director Engr. Chona B. Labaon, Regional Legal Officer Atty. Dexter B. Precioso, Acting TMSD Chief Demalie A. Comonog, Regional FPIC Focal Person Rhica Mae L. Gante, and the FPIC team.

𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖-𝙤𝙣 together with IPMR Focal Person 𝘾𝘼𝙊 𝙄 𝙅𝙖𝙣 𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙚𝙡 𝘽𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙤, attended the General Monthly Meeting of the Provincial, City, and Municipal IPMRs and Tribal Chieftains of Bukidnon.

The meeting was presided over by Provincial IPMR 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙪 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙪𝙗𝙖 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙤 𝙎. 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣, with the active support and participation of the 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩 (𝙇𝙂𝙐) 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙣 led by Municipal Mayor 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙍𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙤 𝘿. 𝙅𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙖, alongside Municipal IPMR of Baungon 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙪 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣̃𝙖.

The activity served as an avenue for concerned parties to address pressing community concerns and issues, fostering open communication and exploring appropriate, lawful measures toward a peaceful and collaborative resolution.

𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖-𝙤𝙣, together with the Talakag CSC personnel led by OIC 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙮𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙚 𝙁. 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖, facilitated the presentation of Ancestral Domains Office (ADO) comments for the 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙠-𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙐𝘿 𝘼𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣 (𝘼𝘿).

This activity forms part of the ongoing review and documentation process. It aims to address and integrate vital comments, refine technical details, and ensure that the rights, territorial boundaries, and cultural integrity of our 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 (𝙄𝘾𝘾𝙨) are fully recognized, protected, and safeguarded. 🏛️🌾✨

The NCIP Bukidnon Provincial Officer Ronaldo L. Baya-on officially turned over 1 set of Coffee Table Books to the Indigenous Students Organization (ISO) of BukSU–Talakag Satellite Campus.

This initiative aims to provide IP students with valuable learning resources that promote appreciation, awareness, and preservation of Indigenous Peoples’ culture, history, traditions, and heritage.
