Selected processed milk, coffee, bottled water, laundry soap, and cement products posted notable price increases. Meanwhile, selected canned sardines, corned beef, bottled water, condensed creamer, and construction materials registered price decreases.
Canned sardines and corned beef also showed notable price stability. Eleven of the 18 comparable canned sardine items maintained their prices, while 19 of the 23 comparable corned beef items remained unchanged.
As part of its continuing compliance efforts, DTI-Bukidnon issued Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) to four business establishments whose monitored prices required further verification against the applicable Suggested Retail Prices (SRPs). The concerned establishments were required to explain their pricing and undertake appropriate corrective measures, as necessary, in accordance with DTI guidelines and relevant consumer protection laws.
DTI-Bukidnon continues to closely monitor BNPC prices and SRP compliance across the province to promote fair and responsible pricing practices and protect consumers from unjustified price increases.
