The Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PAHP) Project, under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) โ Bukidnon headed by ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ฃ๐ข ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐น ๐. ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป, facilitated strong partnership between three BJMPs (Malaybalay City Jail, Valencia City Jail, and Manolo Fortich Jail) and the Green Valley Agrarian Reform Cooperative (GVARC) through a ceremonial signing held at The Gardens Party Venue, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on April 7, 2026.
This initiative was made possible with the guidance and support of DAR Region X, under the leadership of ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด, ๐๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ท, through the Support Services Division (SSD).
This facilitation establishes a structured market for farm produce, strengthening farmersโ livelihoods and increasing their income.
Through the partnership, DAR โ Bukidnon will mobilize its network of agrarian reform beneficiaries and stakeholders to contribute vegetables produce, while BJMPs will facilitate the proper reception and distribution of these food supplies within its facilities. The coordinated effort ensures that the Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) are provided with consistent and reliable access to basic nutritional needs.
Furthermore, officials from both agencies emphasized that the partnership serves as a practical and compassionate intervention that addresses hunger while reinforcing inter-agency cooperation. They emphasized that providing food support to PDLs is an important aspect of ensuring humane conditions and upholding social responsibility within correctional institutions.
Partnership was more strengthened after many considerations on the rising crisis due to non-stop hike of fuels.
