LOOK | Mayor Sheryl P. Capus-Bilo Recognized by DOLE for Strong Commitment to Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program

The Public Employment Service Office of Malinao proudly congratulates Mayor Sheryl P. Capus-Bilo for being awarded by DOLE in recognition of her strong support and commitment to programs aimed at eliminating child labor cases in the municipality.

This recognition affirms the LGU’s continuing commitment to protecting the welfare and future of every Malinaonon child through the strengthened implementation of the Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP).

PESO Malinao likewise extends its gratitude to the members of the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Abner E. Cargullo for their presence and support during the activity reflecting the municipality’s collective commitment toward child protection and community development.

We also sincerely thanks DOLE Assistant Regional Director Atty. Nepomuceno A. Leaño II, CPA, DOLE Albay Chief Marilyn L. Luzuriaga, DOLE Provincial Livelihood Focal Ma’am Olga R. The Public Employment Service Office of Malinao extends its sincere appreciation to the IBP – Albay Chapter for bringing accessible legal services closer to the people through free legal consultation and notarial assistance.

TECHNICAL ADVISORY VISIT WITH DOLE ALBAY PROVINCIAL OFFICE

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is currently conducting a Technical Advisory Visit in Malinao, Albay to provide guidance and support on labor laws compliance, workplace standards and employment programs.

This initiative aims to strengthen partnerships between DOLE and local stakeholders in ensuring decent, productive and safe working conditions for all.

The Public Employment Service Office of Malinao conducted a coordination meeting with our BESOs together with PESO Manager Andrie Philip C. Albaniel and TUPAD Program Focal Mark Joas C. Angulo for the implementation of the TUPAD AbacaBayanihan Program in Malinao.

Anchored on the vision of Mayor Sheryl P. Capus-Bilo to create sustainable and community-based employment opportunities this initiative highlights the importance of strengthening the abaca industry as Malinao holds one of the largest abaca land areas in Albay.

Participating barangays include Bagatangki, Bulang, Soa, Sugcad, Malolos, Matalipni, Ogob, Diaro, Tagoytoy and Tanawan — communities with strong potential in abaca production and livelihood development.

Through strengthened coordination and collaboration, the program aims to support our abaca farming communities, generate livelihood opportunities and further promote agricultural development in the municipality.

ONGOING | SM Legazpi and Sutherland Legazpi Recruitment Activity at Malinao Auditorium

Isinasagawa sa kasalukuyan ang Recruitment Activity ng SM Legazpi at Sutherland Legazpi sa Malinao Auditorium bilang bahagi ng patuloy na hakbang ng Local Government Unit of Malinao na maghatid ng mas maraming oportunidad sa trabaho para sa ating mga kababayan.

Sa pamamagitan ng ganitong mga programa, patuloy na pinapalakas ng LGU ang ugnayan sa mga pribadong sektor upang mailapit ang mga job opportunities sa ating mga Malinaonon at mabigyan sila ng mas malinaw na landas tungo sa kabuhayan at pag-unlad.

Lubos din nating kinikilala ang presensya at suporta nina Hon. Irene M. Fajut, Municipal Councilor at Hon. Belen Cellona, Municipal Councilor na patuloy na katuwang ng LGU sa pagsusulong ng employment facilitation programs sa bayan.

In partnership with TESDA SFIST, opisyal nang nagsimula ang Carpentry NCII classes ng TUPAD beneficiaries sa Malinao Community College.

Ang programang ito ay hindi lamang pansamantalang kabuhayan kundi isang hakbang tungo sa paglinang ng aktwal na kasanayan na magbubukas ng mas malawak na oportunidad sa employment at sustainable livelihood.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagsasanay, ang TUPAD ay nagiging mas makabuluhan. Mula sa tulong tungo sa dignidad, kasanayan at mas matatag na kinabukasan.

In partnership with the Department Of Labor and Employment at TESDA SFIST, kasalukuyang isinasagawa ang Carpentry NC II training sa Malinao Community College. Isang hakbang mula sa pansamantalang tulong patungo sa tunay na kasanayan at pangmatagalang kabuhayan.

In partnership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), a Membership Promotion and Orientation was successfully held at Malinao Auditorium with the participation of Barangay Balading and Barangay Bariw. This activity concludes the visits conducted across various barangays in Malinao over the past weeks to deliver the orientation sessions.

This activity reflects our continued commitment to ensure that overseas Filipino workers and their families are well-informed and properly guided on OWWA programs and services that promote their welfare, protection, and access to meaningful opportunities.
