The activity was held in celebration of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem, observed every July 26, reaffirming the institute's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable coastal resource management.

The orientation equipped stakeholders with essential knowledge and best practices in post-planting mangrove care, emphasizing that successful rehabilitation extends beyond plantingโ€”it requires continuous protection, monitoring, and community participation.

The activity was attended by representatives from the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Fishing Village, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), ELIMS Fellowship, the Lahusan Small Fisherfolk Association (LSFA), and other community stakeholders.

Through collaborative efforts and shared responsibility, the activity was successfully carried out, reinforcing the importance of protecting and restoring our mangrove ecosystems for future generations.
