The activity was spearheaded by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and Philippine Army. The initiative highlighted the importance of environmental protection while strengthening public awareness on significant maritime concerns, particularly the West Philippine Sea.
During the clean-up, which focused on removing debris and preserving coastal ecosystems, military personnel and volunteers engaged with the community by distributing informative leaflets. These materials highlighted the ecological significance of the West Philippine Sea and emphasized the imperative for its protection and sustainable management, aligning with national interests and marine biodiversity conservation.
The 73rd Infantry (Neutralizer) Battalion remains steadfast in supporting initiatives that promote environmental protection, community engagement, and national awareness in pursuit of sustainable development and regional security.
