Supreme Generals Lady Eagles Club Donates Medical Supplies to 1002nd Brigade

Through the relentless efforts of the personnel and operational control (OPCON) units of the 1002nd Infantry "Bagwis" Brigade in ongoing Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, fatigue and illness are sometimes unavoidable.

The 1002nd Brigade extends its appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to the Supreme Generals Lady Eagles Club for donating essential medicines—including cold and fever medications as well as immune-boosting vitamins—and assures the donor that these supplies will be distributed to ensure healthy, resilient, and mission-ready personnel.

Maintaining good health is paramount to operational readiness. It serves as the foundation that enables our troops to perform their duties effectively and serve the public without hindrance.

Balancing demanding duties in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations alongside rigorous preparation for the Agila Patrol (AGPAT) Challenge, the female platoon remained steadfast and undeterred in executing assigned mission.

They demonstrated unwavering dedication across every event—from the meticulous inspection of equipment completeness and military briefings, to Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3), Immediate Action Drills (IAD) on Raid, POW Handling, and Close-Quarters Battle (CQB) held at the Headquarters of the 10th Infantry "Agila" Division in Mawab, Davao de Oro from 26 July to 01 August 2026.

The leadership and personnel of the 1002nd Infantry "Bagwis" Brigade, together with the 28th, 39th, 72nd, and 73rd Infantry Battalions, extend their warmest congratulations to the team for earning second place in this year's AGPAT Challenge.

Their discipline, teamwork, and commitment highlight the strength of the unit and reaffirm its continuous drive toward operational excellence.

Amid the impact of recent disasters in Southern Mindanao, the 1002nd Infantry Brigade (1002Bde) stands firm in its commitment to community support and disaster response. Even as the unit mobilizes for relief operations, it steadfastly upholds the Philippine Army’s core mandate: maintaining peace, order, and stability across its Area of Responsibility (AOR).

In collaboration with key humanitarian partners, the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF) acted as the facilitator for the distribution of international relief aid—donated by Nitori Holdings Co., Ltd. of Japan—to affected families across Sarangani Province and Davao Occidental. To support GMAKF's ground efforts, the 1002Bde mobilized critical manpower and logistical capabilities to ensure the prompt delivery of aid. The 1002Bde also deployed security teams alongside the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Provincial and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (P/MDRRMOs) throughout the formal handover.

In addition to relief efforts, the 1002Bde continues to safeguard public engagement and media transparency in the region. During a recent field production by GMA Public Affairs in the remote areas of Alabel, Sarangani Province, the 1002Bde provided comprehensive security coverage, ensuring a safe, smooth, and uninterrupted shoot for the production crew.

Through continuous security operations and active community partnerships, the 1002nd Infantry Brigade reaffirms its steadfast dedication to serving its area of responsibility—ensuring that every community remains safe, supported, and resilient in times of calamities.

𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

An overwhelming wave of support from government agencies as well as local and national NGOs have been instrumental in delivering urgent relief to our earthquake-stricken countrymen.

Through seamless lateral coordination between the National Capital Region Command (NCRCOM) and the Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC), the logistics and distribution of relief goods donated by NCRCOM stakeholders have been managed with utmost efficiency.

To execute the distribution, the 1002nd Infantry Brigade (1002nd Bde) spearheaded relief operations in the isolated, hard-hit municipality of Jose Abad Santos. Reaching this community presented a severe challenge; access routes were heavily compromised not only by earthquake damage but also by prolonged heavy rains brought by Typhoon Inday.

Despite these formidable hurdles, vital humanitarian aid successfully reached 787 families in Jose Abad Santos. Ground teams from the 73rd Infantry Battalion (73IB), working alongside the Philippine Air Force, used a Black Hawk helicopter to safely deliver relief packs—composed of assorted groceries, bottled water, and 5 kg of rice—to every household across Brgy. Molmol, Jose Abad Santos.

This mission succeeded through the synchronized efforts of the 1002nd Brigade and its Operational Control (OPCON) units, TOG11, 11FSSU, AFPCES, and with the support from NCRCOM. Their systematic and secure approach highlights the military's unwavering commitment to disaster response and public service.

In their sustained conduct of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) alongside Search, Rescue, and Retrieval (SRR) operations, troops of the 1002nd Bagwis Brigade and its Operational Control (OPCON) units are constantly exposed to extreme weather, physical exhaustion, and sleep deprivation—factors that significantly elevate their susceptibility to illness.

Recognizing this threat, the 10th Station Hospital deployed mobile medical teams to conduct a rapid flu vaccination drive. Administered directly to personnel in General Santos City, Malapatan, and Glan, Sarangani Province, these vaccines ensure vital antibody production to prevent transmission and severe medical complications.

By prioritizing field-level healthcare, the Armed Forces of the Philippines ensures its operational force remains resilient, healthy, and mission-ready to sustain ongoing disaster response efforts.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗱𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺: 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗦𝗥𝗥 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱

​Following a recent earthquake, Southern Mindanao faces yet another trial as prolonged heavy rains brought by Typhoon Inday triggered devastating landslides and flash floods across Sarangani Province and Davao Occidental.

Demonstrating rapid response capability, the 1002nd Brigade facilitated the deployment of an S-70i Black Hawk helicopter to retrieve the remains of nine landslide victims from an isolated community in Malapatan, safely turning them over to the LGU for proper identification and disposition.


​Search, Rescue, and Retrieval (SRR) teams are currently prioritizing operations for nine (9) missing individuals across the following areas:
• Malapatan (Sarangani): One (1) individual in Sitio Blisong, Brgy. Poblacion.
• Glan (Sarangani): Two (2) individuals in Sitio Native, Brgy. E. Alegado.
• Jose Abad Santos (Davao Occidental): Six (6) individuals in Brgy. Tanuman.

In response, the 1002nd Infantry Brigade, alongside units under its Operational Control (OPCON), immediately deployed to the affected areas, working hand-in-hand with local government units (LGUs), P/MDRRM, BFP, PCG, PNP and community responders to expedite rescue efforts.
