𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐆 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐈𝐀𝐂 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

On October 5, 2026, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Camiguin participated in the 3rd Quarter Provincial Inter-Agency Committee (PIAC) Meeting held at the New Provincial Capitol Building, Mambajao, Camiguin.

The activity aimed to provide a venue for the presentation and discussion of updates on the implementation of various programs, including the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps), Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), KALAHI CIDSS, Walang Gutom Program, and Social Pension Program, to strengthen coordination among PIAC member agencies. PIAC members also presented their respective updates and accomplishments to share best practices, address emerging issues and concerns, and identify appropriate actions and recommendations for the effective implementation of these programs.

In a continuous push to boost digital governance and operational efficiency at the community level, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Camiguin successfully launched the Local Government Unit Support System–Barangay Information Management System (LGUSS-BIMS) in the remaining barangays of the municipalities of Mambajao and Catarman on September 30, 2026.

Barangay Secretaries participated in the event, engaging in practical, hands-on training to master the platform's core features. The sessions guided local officials through creating user accounts, conducting resident and household profiling, registering deaths, and generating official reports.

Attendees were also briefed on DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-104. This directive underscores the critical need for precise data handling, strict information security, and the consistent updating of barangay records.

During the rollout, officials emphasized how the LGUSS-BIMS serves as a vital tool for simplifying administrative tasks and upgrading records management. Ultimately, the system is designed to foster transparency, ensure accountability, and accelerate public service delivery within the barangays.

This successful deployment in the remaining barangays of Mambajao and Catarman highlights DILG's steadfast dedication to modernizing local government operations. By equipping barangays with advanced technology and upgrading their technical skills, the agency aims to cultivate a more responsive, transparent, and citizen-focused public service landscape.
