Building Stronger Partnerships for Better Communities ๐Ÿค

As part of its continuing commitment to strengthening collaboration with local government stakeholders, the Mambajao District Jail attended two (2) State of the Municipality Addresses (SOMA) in Camiguin.

GUINSILIBAN State of the Municipality Address (SOMA)
On July 5, 2026, SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, together with SJO2 Ronilo B Redoble, attended the SOMA of HON. JOANNE MARIE CHAVES RUBIN-TAN, Municipal Mayor of Guinsiliban, Camiguin. The activity provided an opportunity to further strengthen coordination with the Local Government Unit and support initiatives that promote responsive governance and community development.

SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon and JO1 John Paulo L Llacuna attended the SOMA of HON. Yร‘IGO JESUS D. Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to community engagement and public service, Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, proudly joined the 171st Mambajao Charter Day Celebration with the years theme "Festival of Masks Civic Parade" celebrating the municipalityโ€™s rich history, vibrant culture, and enduring spirit of unity.

The participation underscored the importance of strong community partnerships and further strengthened the collaboration between the BJMP and the Local Government Unit in promoting camaraderie, civic pride, and effective public service. Demonstrating its commitment to fostering strong partnerships with local government units and partner agencies, Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, participated in the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) 2nd Quarter Joint Meeting on July 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM, held at the Domingo K. Talan Conference Hall, New Municipal Hall, Sagay, Camiguin.

The joint meeting served as an avenue for discussing key programs, initiatives, and collaborative strategies aimed at maintaining peace and order, strengthening anti-illegal drug efforts, and addressing community concerns through a unified and proactive approach among local stakeholders.

Through its active participation in inter-agency engagements, Mambajao District Jail reaffirms its dedication to promoting public safety, strengthening institutional partnerships, and contributing to the realization of a peaceful, orderly, and resilient community.

Strengthening collaboration for peace, security, and public safety๐Ÿค

The 2nd Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), together with PADAC, PDRRMC, PTF-ELCAC, PTF-MEREID, PTF-Disiplina, PCAT-VAWC, PCPC, and SWMB, was successfully conducted today June 19,2026 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, 3rd Floor, New Capitol Building, Lakas, Mambajao, Camiguin.

The activity was graced by the presence and support of Honorable Governor Xavier Jesus Romualdo, highlighting the provinceโ€™s strong commitment to unified governance and coordinated efforts in maintaining peace, order, disaster preparedness, and community safety.

Representing JSINSP BRIAN ZAMBO G PACANA , Provincial Jail Administrator, SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden of Mambajao District Jail together with JO1 Gayelle G Pahit attended the meeting and actively presented the accomplishment report of Mambajao District Jail, while also participating in discussions on key issues affecting the province.

In support of the celebration of Environmental Month 2026 with the theme, โ€œInspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,โ€ Mambajao District Jail under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden actively participated in a River Clean-Up Drive at Saay Cold Spring, Quipasa, Poblacion, Mambajao, Camiguin.

This meaningful activity was conducted in collaboration with DENR-PENRO Camiguin, LGU Mambajao, Brgy-Poblacion, Philippine Coast Guard, CSAT, TESDA Camiguin, Maritime Law Enforcement Team, BFP, and PNP. The initiative highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship, climate action, and community participation in preserving our natural resources for future generations.

In support of Brigada Eskwela 2026 with the theme, "Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman," ten (10) dedicated personnel of Mambajao District Jail, led by SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, joined hands with the community on June 4, 2026, to help prepare our schools for another meaningful school year.

True to our commitment to community development and public service, personnel of Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, proudly joined hands with educators, parents, and volunteers for this yearโ€™s Brigada Eskwela.

Mambajao District Jail team actively extended its full support to local education, picking up paintbrushes, cleaning tools, and construction gear. Our personnel worked tirelessly alongside the community to clean, repair, and revitalize classrooms. This collaborative effort ensures that local children will return to a safe, clean, orderly, and highly motivating learning environment. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ๐Ÿงผ

For the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), service extends far beyond the jail walls. Mambajao District Jail under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, Acting Jail Warden, extends its sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Mambajao headed by HON. Yร‘IGO JESUS D. ROMUALDO, Municipal Mayor for donating office supplies and the Local Government Unit of Guinsiliban headed by HON.JOANNE MARIE RUBIN-TAN, Municipal Mayor, represented by Ms. Eres Sabuero, for donating one Toshiba 1TB external storage drive.

Mambajao District Jail and PDEA Camiguin Conduct Joint Greyhound Operation

The Mambajao District Jail, under the leadership of SJO4 Nathaniel A Ajon, successfully conducted a Joint Greyhound Operation in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Camiguin, led by IA III Emil C. Ancheta, PDEA Team Leader.

The operation involved a thorough inspection of cell dormitories aimed at strengthening the facilityโ€™s safety and security measures. The activity concluded with zero contraband recovered and no untoward incidents reported, reflecting the jailโ€™s unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and drug-free environment for all Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Following the operation, a drug symposium was also conducted to further educate and raise awareness among PDL regarding the harmful effects of illegal drugs and the importance of rehabilitation and reform.

This collaborative effort highlights the strong partnership between the Mambajao District Jail and PDEA Camiguin in upholding peace, order, and public safety within the facility.
