The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region IV-B, Occidental Mindoro, through the ICT Literacy and Competency Development Bureau (ILCDB), 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 from 𝗟𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼 to join the 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮.𝟬 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 under the 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 (𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

This training is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to become job-ready 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀.

📌 Qualifications:
✔ Resident of 𝗟𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼
✔ 18 years old and above
✔ Able to pass the English and Typing Tests
✔ Committed to completing the entire training program
✔ Has a 𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗽 or desktop computer
✔ Has a stable and reliable internet connection
✔ Willing to learn new skills
✔ Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Occidental Mindoro successfully conducted the "𝑺𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑺𝑷𝑬𝑺: 𝑪𝒚𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝑯𝒚𝒈𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒆, 𝑨𝑰 𝑻𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔, 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒌𝒔, 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝑮𝒐𝒗𝑷𝑯 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏" last August 17, 2026, in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

Designed specifically for beneficiaries of the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES), this learning initiative equipped our student-workers with essential digital literacy skills, practical AI tool applications, online safety practices, and an introduction to e-governance services.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Occidental Mindoro successfully conducted a three-day capacity-building activity entitled "𝑺𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑴𝑺𝑴𝑬𝒔: 𝑪𝒚𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝑯𝒚𝒈𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒆, 𝑨𝑰 𝑻𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔, 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒌𝒔, 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝑮𝒐𝒗𝑷𝑯 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏" last August 18–20, 2026, in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

Local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) gathered to strengthen their digital presence, safeguard their businesses against online threats, and leverage modern tech tools for growth.

Empowering our local entrepreneurs with digital literacy is key to building a resilient and competitive digital economy in Occidental Mindoro.

The HackforGov5 will follow a Capture-the-Flag (CTF) format, where participants solve cybersecurity challenges covering domains such as Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), Web Application Security, Network Forensics and Security, and other cybersecurity activities.
Each challenge contains a hidden flag that participants must identify and submit through the designated CTF platform to earn points based on difficulty
HackForGov MIMAROPA 2026 will take place on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, in 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚.
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧:
1. Open to all currently enrolled college, university, and senior high school students in the MIMAROPA Region
2. Must be 26 years old or younger as of the competition year
3. Each team should have 4 members from the same school
The Regional Champion will advance to the National Competition to compete against other regional champions nationwide. The winning team will have the opportunity to represent the Philippines on the international stage! 🏆
