LOOK || The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAGRO)–Manay, in partnership with the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program and the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGRO), successfully conducted a comprehensive three-day activity featuring a Package of Technology Training on Banana (Lakatan) Production and Management, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) application, Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) registration and renewal, and massive deworming and vitamin supplementation services for small animals.
The activity was organized for the benefit of the Matabang–Pagsayawan–Liloan Farmers Association (MAPALIFA) and was held on February 3–5, 2026, at Sitio Matabang, Barangay Taocanga, Manay, Davao Oriental.
The initiative aimed to enhance farmers’ technical knowledge and skills, promote sustainable and improved agricultural practices, strengthen access to agricultural insurance and government support programs, and improve livestock health and productivity. Through the collaborative efforts of the partner agencies, the activity significantly contributed to the continued development, resilience, and overall well-being of the local farming community.
The Municipal Government of Manay, through the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAGRO), extends its heartfelt appreciation to Municipal Mayor Hon. Jon Marco Dayanghirang for his steadfast leadership and unwavering support for agricultural development initiatives in the municipality. Sincere thanks are also extended to the Barangay Government of Taocanga, headed by the Punong Barangay, Noli A. Bayacag and Barangay Officials for their valuable support and cooperation in the successful conduct of the activity. Appreciation is likewise conveyed to the SAAD Program, PAGRO, PCIC, RSBSA, and all partner agencies for their technical expertise, resources, and dedication in delivering vital services to our farmers.
