Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Mayora Menchie Abalos at sa pangunguna ng Akting Punong Barangay Erika Javier, nagsagawa ang Barangay Life Support Unit (BLSU), katuwang ang Special Operation Unit, ng tree trimming activity sa Rev. G. Aglipay Street, Barangay Old ZaΓ±iga.

Layunin ng aktibidad na alisin ang mga mapanganib at laylay na sanga ng mga puno upang mabawasan ang posibilidad ng aksidente at iba pang panganib sa mga residente, lalo na ngayong panahon ng tag-ulan.

Ang nasabing gawain ay bahagi ng patuloy na programa ng Barangay Old ZaΓ±iga sa disaster risk reduction and prevention, na naglalayong mapanatili ang kaligtasan, kaayusan, at proteksiyon ng buong komunidad.

Sa pamamagitan ng maagap na pagkilos ng BLSU at Special Operation Unit, naipapakita ang patuloy na pagsisikap ng barangay na hindi lamang tumugon sa mga emergency kundi maging maagap sa pagtukoy at pag-iwas sa mga posibleng panganib sa komunidad.
