The Mandaue City Youth Development Office joins the National Youth Commission and young people around the world in celebrating 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

This year’s theme, “𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬,” recognizes that young people may live in different communities, come from different backgrounds, and face different challenges. Yet, beneath these differences are aspirations that unite us: 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.

Their voices, ideas, and actions are essential in creating communities that are inclusive, resilient, and responsive to the needs of the future.

𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐔𝐄. 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐄

A meaningful dialogue toward building a more informed, empowered, and engaged generation of voters.

Last July 31, 2026, the ABTIK One Mandaue leaders, together with the Mandaue City Youth Development Office (MCYDO) and the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation (SKF), convened to discuss and propose a citywide Voter’s Education initiative designed to equip the youth with essential knowledge, critical thinking skills, and civic awareness.

The proposed initiative aims to go beyond simply teaching young people how to vote, but more importantly, why an informed vote matters. It seeks to promote responsible citizenship, strengthen media and voter literacy, combat misinformation and disinformation, and encourage meaningful youth participation in the democratic process.

Because the future of Mandaue is shaped not only by the leaders we elect, but by the choices of an informed generation.

The future of Mandaue's youth begins with a plan—and a shared commitment to make it happen.

For three (3) meaningful days, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairpersons, youth leaders, government agencies, civil society organizations, and youth-serving organizations came together for the Annual Youth Development Action Planning for FY 2027.

From understanding the current realities faced by our young people, to evaluating our progress, identifying emerging priorities, and transforming these into concrete and actionable programs, this planning process reflects our collective vision for a more responsive and inclusive youth development agenda.

More than just a planning workshops, this is a testament to the power of collaboration. By strengthening partnerships and aligning our efforts, we ensure that every initiative we undertake responds to the genuine needs and aspirations of Mandaue's youth.

Together, we are not simply planning for the next fiscal year—we are laying the foundation for a future where every young Mandauehanon has greater opportunities to lead, participate, and thrive.

The City Government of Mandaue, through the Mandaue City Youth Development Office and the College Scholarship Grant and Advisory Board (CSGAB), proudly conducted the Handover Ceremony of the Certificates of Grant to the Top 161 Scholarship Grantees.

The ceremony was graced by City Mayor Jonkie Ouano, together with the esteemed members of the College Scholarship Grant and Advisory Board (CSGAB), whose presence reaffirmed the City's unwavering commitment to providing accessible and quality education for deserving Mandauehanon students.

More than the ceremonial handover of certificates, the event marked the beginning of the scholars' journey under the City Scholarship Program. Following the ceremony, the CSGAB Secretariat conducted an orientation to familiarize the new scholars with the program's policies, benefits, privileges, and responsibilities, ensuring that they are well-equipped to fulfill their obligations as City Scholars.
