NWRB adopts Flexible Work Arrangements of DENR
January 14, 2026
As an attached agency of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the National Water Resources Board will align with the nationwide pilot implementation of the Department’s Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) effective January 19 to March 27, 2026.
Under Department Administrative Order (DAO) 2025-034, NWRB personnel will be assigned to flexible work setups based on the nature of their functions while maintaining the 40-hour workweek. Frontline and essential services will continue to be accessible on-site from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, in line with DENR guidelines. On Fridays, Work-From-Home arrangement will be implemented and services will be provided through NWRB’s online platforms.
The adoption of the FWA is consistent with policies of the Civil Service Commission, the Commission on Audit, and the Department of Budget and Management. This pilot program is expected to address long commuting times, ease traffic congestion, and reduce water, energy, and fuel consumption, while encouraging the increased use of digital platforms for internal and client transactions.
During NWRB’s Work-From-Home implementation on Fridays, the public may avail services through the following e-mail addresses:
