Mandaue City Hospital Marks a Historic Milestone with First Major Operation in 8 Years
After eight long years since its renovation, Mandaue City Hospital proudly commemorates a historic milestone — the successful completion of its first major operation on September 22, 2025. The procedure, an emergency cesarean section, symbolizes a renewed chapter in the hospital's capability to deliver critical medical care to the community.
The operation was led by an outstanding medical team:
OB-GYNE: Dr. Minnie Sheryl L. Apuli
Anesthesiologist: Dr. Norman F. Batobalonos
Pediatrician: Dr. Estrella L. Uy
OR Nurse Supervisors: Mr. Dino L. Valera and Ms. Janeth M. Morpos
OR Senior Nurse: Ms. Gladys M. Ouano
DR Nurse Supervisor: Ms. Jean R. Orosio
DR Nurse: Ms. Danica Kate T. Basalo
DR Midwives: Ms. Ellen C. Colina and Ms. Angie O. Duallo
CSR Clerk: Ms. Marcelina D. Cabatingan
This achievement would not have been possible without the prompt and decisive action of Mayor Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” M. Ouano, whose efforts in the timely procurement of the Automatic Transfer Switch ensured the operation could proceed without interruption — a crucial factor in emergency surgical care.
The Chief of Hospital Dr. Ligaya Lakambini D. Dargantes for her proactive action plans for the hospital.
The Mandaue City Hospital expresses its deepest gratitude to everyone involved and looks forward to continuing its mission of providing quality healthcare services to the people of Mandaue.
