On August 20, 2026, the Philippine Coconut Authority Region VII (PCA) successfully held its “𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒖𝒈𝒂𝒏: 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑫𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒖𝒕 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔” at the Bohol Island State University – Bilar Campus.

This noble initiative, rooted in the spirit of bayanihan, resulted in the 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 181 𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝, a vital resource that will serve as a lifeline for patients in need.

The event was graced by the presence of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐑. 𝐆𝐮𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧, 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, whose support further underscored the collaborative effort behind this undertaking.

The Philippine Coconut Authority Region VII extends its deepest appreciation to all donors, volunteers, and working committees whose dedication and selfless service ensured the success of this endeavor.

This collective effort stands as a testament to unity and compassion. Proving that when communities come together, lives are saved and hope is renewed.

The Philippine Coconut Authority proudly announces the winners of the 𝐎𝐧‑𝐭𝐡𝐞‑𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 held during the third day of CocoNegosyo, in celebration of the 40th National Coconut Week. Emerging as champion was 𝐌𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐌. 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧, followed by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐏𝐞ñ𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐚 in second place, and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐙𝐨𝐞 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐏. 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐬 securing the third spot.

Artists from various parts of Cebu gathered to showcase their creativity and skill, breathing life into this year’s theme, “𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒖𝒕 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒚, 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆‑𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒖𝒕 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒏.” Their works not only highlighted the richness of the coconut industry but also added vibrancy and meaning to the festivities.

The Philippine Coconut Authority extends its warmest congratulations to all participating artists whose contributions brought color, artistry, and inspiration to the 40th Coconut Week celebration.

NOW HAPPENING: Day 3 of CocoNegosyo at Ayala Center Cebu

The third day of CocoNegosyo continues to bring energy and creativity to Ayala Center Cebu. Today, the Philippine Coconut Authority Region VII is hosting an exciting on-the-spot painting contest with the theme: “Regenerating the Coconut Economy, Future-Proofing the Coconut Value Chain.”

Participants from various cities and municipalities across the Province of Cebu are showcasing their artistic talents, interpreting how the coconut industry can thrive sustainably into the future.
At the same time, the Coconut Expo remains open, now on its third day, featuring a wide array of coconut-derived products from innovative non-food items to delicious food creations. This exhibition demonstrates the versatility of the coconut and its vital role in local livelihoods and industries.

Everyone is invited to witness the creativity of the painting contest and explore the coconut booths at Ayala Center Cebu. It’s a celebration of culture, sustainability, and innovation. All centered around the “Tree of Life.”

At the same time, our booths remain open featuring a wide array of food and non-food coconut-based products crafted with innovation and care. From delicious treats to sustainable essentials, there’s something for everyone to discover.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL APPLICANTS OF THE
CFIDP- COCONUT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (CoScho)

Please be informed that the receipt of requests for National Coconut Farmers Registration System (NCFRS) Certification for the CFIDP – Coconut Scholarship (CoScho) Program application at the PCA Region VII & Negros Island Region (NIR) Regional and Provincial Offices through the official
e-mail address at [email protected] will be until AUGUST 26, 2026 (Wednesday), at 5:00 PM.

This deadline is set to give our designated Point Persons ample time to process the voluminous requests being submitted by applicants and, at the same time, to give due consideration to the CHED Regional Offices’ deadline for the submission of Coconut Scholarship applications on AUGUST 31, 2026.

All concerned applicants are strongly advised to submit their requests for NCFRS Certification on or before August 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM to allow sufficient time for processing and completion of their scholarship requirements.

Theme: “𝑳𝒖𝒃𝒊, 𝑩𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒊𝒚𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏, 𝑲𝒖𝒔𝒐𝒈 𝒔𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒉𝒊𝒂𝒏”

The 40th National Coconut Week officially opened with a celebration that underscored the coconut as both a natural treasure and a vital source of livelihood for countless Filipino communities. The event was graced by the presence of various government agencies and partner institutions, all working hand in hand to ensure the development and sustainability of the coconut industry.

The ceremonial opening was graced by Hon. Grecilda “Gigi” Sanchez, Provincial Consultant for Agriculture and Livelihood, who was joined by Cebu Provincial Investment and Promotions Officer Mr. Paulo Uy and Executive Assistant to the Governor and Consultant Mr. Rodrigo Sanchez. They were accompanied by Department of Trade and Industry Assistant Regional Director Epifania Suralta, Philippine Coconut Authority Regional Manager III Aurora L. Paquibot, PCA Cebu Provincial Manager Johndom B. Domagtoy, OIC Center Director of the Agriculture Training Institute, Mr. Vianney Ojerio, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation Regional Manager II RM Paulita Secuya, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Regional Director Dir. Gamaliel Vicente Jr. Their collective presence symbolized the unity of national and provincial agencies in advancing programs that uplift coconut farmers and entrepreneurs.

The event also featured a lively exhibition showcasing the creativity and resourcefulness of the twenty-seven exhibitors and coco entrepreneurs. Their displays highlighted a wide range of food and non-food products derived from coconut, demonstrating the versatility of the “tree of life” and its enduring role in Filipino culture, economy, and innovation.

This year’s theme, “Lubi, Bahandi sa Kinaiyahan, Kusog sa Panginabuhian”, resonates with the vision of protecting the coconut as a natural heritage while harnessing its strength to empower livelihoods. The 40th National Coconut Week stands as a testament to the enduring partnership between government, private sector, and farming communities, celebrating not only the coconut itself but also the resilience and ingenuity of the people whose lives are sustained by it.

The “Bayanihan sa Kalusugan: Blood Donation Drive for Coconut Farmers and their Families” is currently underway at the BISU-Bilar Campus Gymnasium, Zamora, Bilar, Bohol.

The activity is conducted in partnership with Bohol Island State University–Bilar Campus, through the Red Cross Youth BISU-Bilar Council, University Health Services, NSTP-LTS & ROTC, together with the Philippine Red Cross–Bohol Chapter and Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center.

This highlights the spirit of bayanihan through voluntary blood donation—a simple yet meaningful act that can help provide a vital lifeline to those in need.
