In line with the commitment to strengthen coordination and ensure the safe and secure custody of admitted Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), JINSP BONIE JOHN L LASDOCE, Assistant City Jail Warden, together with SJO4 Felix G Del Castillo III, Chief, Security and Control Section of Mandaue City Jail – Male Dormitory, conducted a courtesy visit and coordination meeting on July 9, 2026, at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Cebu City, and Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital, Mandaue City.

The activity was attended by key hospital security officials, namely Mr. Arnulfo C. Cuanan, Chief Security Officer 2 of Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, and Mr. Joselito R. Giangan, Head Security Unit of Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital, who actively participated in discussions regarding existing security arrangements, communication protocols, and collaborative measures for the effective management of admitted PDL cases.

The courtesy visit also included an on-site inspection of BJMP hospital es**rt personnel to assess their compliance with established security procedures, operational readiness, alertness, proper deployment, and overall performance while ensuring the secure custody of admitted PDL.

Through continuous coordination and strengthened partnerships with healthcare institutions, the Mandaue City Jail – Male Dormitory remains steadfast in promoting dynamic security, professional jail management, and responsible custody operations beyond the confines of the jail facility.

"𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻, 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗮𝗻."

As part of the kick-off of the month-long celebration, MCJ-MD conducted the Hanging of the 52nd Nutrition Month Tarpauline, signifying the facility's commitment to promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and environmental stewardship among personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

This year's celebration emphasizes the inseparable link between good nutrition and caring for the environment. Through various Nutrition Month activities, MCJ-MD aims to inspire healthier food choices, sustainable practices, and collective responsibility in building a healthier and greener community.

𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦: 𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗣𝗗𝗟 𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗢𝗡 𝗔 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗛 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥

Every release marks more than the completion of a sentence—it symbolizes transformation, accountability, and the opportunity for a fresh start.

Following the deliberation of the Management, Screening and Evaluation Committee (MSEC), seventeen (17) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) from the Mandaue City Jail – Male Dormitory were granted their liberty through the application of the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) and other applicable legal provisions. Their release was approved after a thorough evaluation of their records, earned time allowances, exemplary behavior, and consistent participation in educational, developmental, and rehabilitative programs.

While in custody, these individuals made the conscious decision to change. Through discipline, positive conduct, continuous learning, and active participation in correctional interventions, they demonstrated that genuine rehabilitation is possible. Their journey reflects the BJMP's commitment to recognizing reform and providing deserving individuals with the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Under the leadership of City Jail Warden JSUPT JESSIE JAMES C GINGOYON, the Mandaue City Jail – Male Dormitory continues to uphold restorative justice by fostering an environment where rehabilitation, personal growth, and successful reintegration into society remain at the forefront of its mission.

The successful conduct of the MSEC deliberation was made possible through the dedicated efforts of JINSP BONIE JOHN L LASDOCE, Assistant Warden; SJO4 Christopher D Delega, Chief Intelligence and Investigation Officer; JO2 Johanna Ericka A Ungay, PDL Records and Releasing Officer; and JO1 Kristine G Daligdig, PDL Big Brother (PBB) Focal Person. Their commitment to fairness, integrity, and due process ensures that every recommendation is carefully evaluated in accordance with the law.

At the Mandaue City Jail – Male Dormitory, rehabilitation is more than a program—it is a promise to restore hope, inspire transformation, and empower deserving individuals to embrace a new beginning.
