đź“Ť SITE INSPECTION | BARANGAY SUACO

On September 2, 2026, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Mangatarem, headed by Engr. Jessie N. Sacopla, together with Engr. Freida A. Aquino, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineer (ABE), and Hon. Antonio S. Maicong Jr., Barangay Captain of Barangay Suaco, conducted a site inspection in Barangay Suaco, including river areas and locations affected by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), particularly in Pacalat and Calomboyan Sur.
The inspection aimed to assess the current condition of the river, document the damages caused by the Southwest Monsoon, and identify necessary measures for the protection and rehabilitation of the affected areas.
The MENRO, together with Engr. Freida A. Aquino and Barangay Suaco, continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with concerned stakeholders to help protect our rivers, natural resources, and the environment.

On August 2, 2026, the Honda Click White Wolves, Honda Click Black Mamba, and Honda Click Owner Rider Club Philippines successfully conducted their "Earth Day 2026" Tree Planting Activity at Daang Kalikasan, Mangatarem, Pangasinan, with the theme "Ligtas Kalikasan." The activity was conducted with the full support of Hon. Mayor Jensen F. Viray and in coordination with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), headed by Engr. Jessie N. Sacopla, with the valuable assistance of the MENRO personnel, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Mangatarem, and the Personnel of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 (RMFB1) 105th Maneuver Company.
The tree planting activity brought together members of the participating Honda Click riders' clubs, partner agencies, and volunteers in a collective effort to restore and protect the environment. Through this initiative, participants demonstrated their commitment to promoting environmental awareness, preserving natural resources, and fostering a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Mangatarem for future generations.

On July 31, 2026, the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, through the Pangasinan Green Canopy Program, successfully conducted a Tree Growing Activity at Daang Kalikasan, Brgy. Muelang, Mangatarem, Pangasinan, in support of its continuing commitment to environmental conservation, reforestation, and sustainable development. The activity was conducted with the full support of Hon. Mayor Jensen F. Viray-Ventinilla and in coordination with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), headed by Engr. Jessie N. Sacopla, with the valuable assistance of the MENRO personnel, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Mangatarem.
The tree growing activity brought together personnel from the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, partner agencies, and volunteers in a unified effort to expand the municipality's green cover and promote environmental stewardship. Hindi kailanman naging kaaway ng kalikasan ang plastik—ang ating kapabayaan ang tunay na problema.
Sa bawat sando bag na basta na lamang itinatapon, unti-unti nating dinaragdagan ang pasanin ng ating kapaligiran. Ngunit sa bawat isa namang ating nire-recycle, nagbibigay tayo ng panibagong pag-asa—hindi lamang sa ating kalikasan, kundi pati na rin sa mga susunod na henerasyong maninirahan sa mundong ito.

Muli, ipinakikita ng MENRO Mangatarem na ang tunay na pagbabago ay nagsisimula sa simpleng pagkilos. Ang isang basurang tila wala nang silbi ay maaari pang maging kapaki-pakinabang, mapagkakakitaan, at higit sa lahat, maging simbolo ng ating malasakit sa Inang Kalikasan.

Hindi natin minana ang mundo sa ating mga ninuno—hinihiram lamang natin ito sa ating mga anak. Kaya ang bawat plastik na ating inililigtas sa landfill ay isang pangakong iniiwan natin para sa kanilang kinabukasan.

Ang kalikasan ay hindi humihingi ng perpektong tao. Ang kailangan nito ay mga taong handang kumilos.

Mag-recycle. Magmalasakit. Maging bahagi ng pagbabagong nais nating ipamana. 🌍♻️💚
