Barangay Advocacy Team para sa West Philippine Sea, Inilunsad sa Dasol, Pangasinan

TIGNAN|| Bilang bahagi ng panawagan ng pamahalaan upang mapalawak ang kamalayan ng komunidad patungkol sa pangangalaga ng ating soberanong karagatan, pinangunahan ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Dasol, Pangasinan katuwang ang 71st Infantry (KAIBIGAN) Battalion, Philippine Army ang paglunsad ng Barangay Advocacy Team for West Philippine Sea (BAT 4 WPS) na ginanap sa 3rd Floor Municipal Building, Brgy. Poblacion, Dasol, Pangasinan noong Marso 19, 2026.

Apatnapung mga opisyales mula sa 18 barangay ng Dasol ang nakilahok sa mga serye ng diskusyon ng 71st IB at 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company patungkol sa kasalukuyang isyu sa West Philippine Sea at Kahalagahan ng Komunidad bilang mga Force Multipliers.
naglalayong palawakin pa ang kaalaman at kamalayan ng mga kalahok patungkol sa kahalagahan at paglalaban ng ating karapatang soberanya sa West Philippine Sea.

Bahagi rin sa aktibidad ang mga workshops at presentasyon ng mga planong maaring makatulong sa pag papalawak ng kaalaman at kooperasyon hinggil sa pangangalaga ng ating mga karagatan.

Nagtapos ang aktibidad sa pamamagitan ng pormal na paglada sa Pledge of Commitment sa pangunguna ni Ginoong Jesse A. Calaustro, Municipal Administrator, kasama sina Lieutenant Colonel Christopher C. Manimtim, Commanding Officer ng 71st IB, Ms. Karen P. Cuya, MLGOO at mga opisyal ng lokal na kapulisan bilang simbolo ng pagkakaisa at pagtanggap ng responsibilidad ng bawat isa sa pagpapanatili ng kaayusan at kapayapaan para sa West Philippine Sea.

Sa pamamagitan ng BAT 4 WPS, inaasahan ding mapapalalim ang ugnayan ng komunidad sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno at mas mapapalawak ang impormasyon sa tamang pangangalaga at pagpapanatili ng ating mga yamang dagat at magbigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng edukasyon at partisipasyon ng bawat isa upang masiguro na ang ating karagatan ay mapangalagaan para sa kasalukuyan at mga susunod pang henerasyon.

Army Recruitment Office (ARO) – Luzon

The Army Recruitment Office Team - Luzon will be conducting the Pre-Entry AFPSAT and Qualifying Examinations at the University of Eastern Pangasinan (UEP) – Binalonan Campus.

[!IMPORTANT] ADMISSION IS FREE

Consolidation Time: 6:00 AM

Examination Starts: 7:30 AM

Interested applicants who have not yet taken the AFPSAT are invited to attend according to the following schedule:

May 25–26 AFPSAT for Officer Candidate Course (OCC)
27 AQE & SWE for Officer Candidate Course (OCC) Only
28 AFPSAT for Candidate Soldier Course (CSC)

📋DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS
For Officer Candidate Course (OCC) (Original Copy Only)
• College Diploma
• Transcript of Records (TOR)
• PSA-issued Birth Certificate
• Any valid Government-issued ID
• For Fresh Graduates: If Diploma/TOR is unavailable, bring a Certificate of Graduation signed by the Registrar and your School ID.
• For 4th Year Graduating Students: Bring a Certificate of Enrollment or official document certifying your status as a graduating student.

• Attire: White Polo Shirt/T-Shirt, Maong (Denim) Pants, and Rubber Shoes.
Qualifications for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC):
1. Must hold a Baccalaureate Degree.
2. Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen.
3. Must be single with no parental obligations.
4. Must be at least 5 feet tall for both male and female candidates.
5. Must be physically and mentally fit.
6. Must be at least 21 years old but not older than 27 years old upon taking the oath.
7. Must have no pending case in any court.

For Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) (Original Copy Only)
• Senior High School Diploma
• Form 10 (High School Academic Record)
• PSA-issued Birth Certificate
• Any valid Government-issued ID

• Attire: White T-Shirt, Maong (Denim) Pants, and Rubber Shoes.
Qualifications for the Candidate Soldier Course (CSC):

1. Must be a K12/Senior High Graduate or have completed 72 units in college.
2. Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen.
3. Must be single with no parental obligations.
4. Must be at least 5 feet tall for both male and female candidates.
5. Must be physically and mentally fit.
6. Must be at least 18 years old but not older than 26 years old upon taking the oath.
7. Must have no pending case in any court.

Philippine Army Chief Lt. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete and South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung honored Filipino heroes who fought in the Korean War in a Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Korean War Memorial Pylon, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on March 4, 2026.
The Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Libingan ng mga Bayani is part of his 2-day state visit to the Philippines.

The Provincial Government of Pangasinan, through the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), successfully conducted its 1st Quarter Joint Meeting on March 6, 2026 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center (PTDC) II, Lingayen, Pangasinan.
The meeting was presided over by Hon. Ramon V. Guico III, Governor of Pangasinan and Chairman of PPOC-PADAC, and facilitated by Provincial Director Atty. Gerald D. Gallardo, CESE, DILG Pangasinan Provincial Director and PPOC Head Secretariat and Atty. Kandace Lorraine Madrid Palagud, PADAC Head Secretariat.
The meeting gathered provincial officials, national government agencies, and stakeholders to discuss updates on the peace and order situation, anti-criminality efforts, anti-insurgency campaign, and anti-illegal drugs programs in the Province of Pangasinan.

LTGEN ARISTOTLE D GONZALEZ PAF, Commander, Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) conducted a Unit Visit to the Headquarters of the 69th Infantry Battalion (69IB), PA, at Brgy. Bulawen, Palauig, Zambales on March 3, 2026.

The visit forms part of NOLCOM’s continuing efforts to assess operational readiness, strengthen command guidance, and boost the morale of troops on the ground. During the engagement, key matters concerning security operations, community support initiatives, and disaster preparedness were discussed to ensure the unit’s sustained effectiveness in fulfilling its mandate.

Following the unit visit, a Courtesy Call was made to Hon. Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr., Governor of Zambales, at the Provincial Capitol in Iba, Zambales. The courtesy call underscored the strong partnership between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Provincial Government of Zambales in maintaining peace and security, enhancing disaster response capabilities, and promoting development initiatives in the province.

NOLCOM reaffirmed its commitment to collaborative governance and sustained coordination with local government units to ensure a secure and resilient Northern Luzon.
