📢 HAPPENING NOW | PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED MUNICIPAL ORDINANCES

The Municipality of Duero, through the Sangguniang Bayan, led by Honorable Vice Mayor Hernes A. Bajao, is currently conducting a Public Hearing on several proposed ordinances aimed at strengthening environmental protection, tourism development, historical preservation, and solid waste management in our municipality.
Among the proposed measures discussed are:

📌 Operational Guidelines and Environmental Protection Policies for Mt. Sagungan “Buko-Buko sa Anay”
📌 Declaration of the Carlos P. Garcia Monument as a Permanent Structure in the Municipal Park and Plaza of Duero
📌 Amendments to the Municipal Garbage Fee Ordinance for households, schools, and other establishments

This public consultation serves as an avenue for transparency, collaboration, and community participation in crafting policies that will benefit the people of Duero.

The Local Government Unit of Duero is once again conducting a recorrida and intensified information drive regarding proper waste management in our municipality. This is not just a reminder, this is a serious call for everyone’s cooperation.

We are strongly urging all residents to practice proper segregation and disposal of garbage. Illegal dumping, burning of waste, and improper disposal continue to affect our environment, clog waterways, and threaten public health.

Let us remember that maintaining cleanliness is not the responsibility of the government alone. It is a shared responsibility of every Duerohanon. If we want a cleaner, safer, and healthier Duero for our children and future generations, action must start in our own homes and communities.

Today, I am proud to share another significant milestone for the Municipality of Duero through the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Concreting of Road from Brgy. Payao to Brgy. Imelda worth ₱25 Million funded under the LGSF-GEF.

As your Mayor, it brings me great pride and fulfillment to witness the realization of a long-time dream of our people for better roads and easier transportation. This project is a symbol of our commitment to bring progress, accessibility, and better opportunities to every barangay, especially those in far-flung areas.

“There is nothing more that we want than to provide all the good things and services for our people, and this is the legacy that we want to leave for all of you.” 💚
